I don't know how I forgot to give this a review, but this is one of my favorite Farming Sims of all time l. I don't want to spoil too much, but everything from the progression, the people, the adventure, the music, and the quality of life are top notch. It was very clear that every decision made in this game was intentional to make things super fluid. Something as simple as giving multiple options to move around the ship and placing things in a reasonable proximity made the game smooth and not feel like just downtime. The UI was also great at providing all of the info I needed. I appreciate the reasonable amount of museum and "fishing" because some games can go overboard with forcing the player to find rare items. I could go on and on, but Little Known Galaxy is incredible and a bit underrated imho.

After discovering Stardew Valley, I am always on the lookout for other chill games just like it. When my dad told me about a space-themed Stardew-like game called Little-Known Galaxy, I knew I had to check it out. Now, having completed the game, I must say it was worth the purchase. Here are the pros and cons that I found after playing through Little-Known Galaxy: Pros: - First, the ships crew is great. Each character is unique and funny in their own ways. I don't think there was a single character I disliked. - Unlike Stardew, Little-Known Galaxy had a little more story which was fun. Not too much to be overwhelming, but enough to keep you interested. - A chill and soothing soundtrack. - All the different locations (or planets rather) were fun and unique. Different music and different vibes for each of the planets made them feel separate and they each had their own trials and benefits. - Actually completable. It is not an endless game with thousands of hours of grinding - I 100% it in about 70 hours and I was taking my time. You could probably rush through it in about 30-40 hours if you optimized your strategy. Cons: - I know everyone complains about this but I will include it anyways - the combat. It is annoying and sometimes very frustrating. Enemies can move diagonally but you can only shoot in straight lines. Also, objects block your shots but enemies can move over most objects with ease. If you get overwhelmed by enemies, there is usually no way out. I cannot tell you how many times I died because I just got surrounded by mobs. - The products lack variety. All fruit produces "fruit juice", all dried veggies produce "dried veggies". In Stardew it feels like every single item makes something unique, but in Little-Known Galaxy it felt like a certain group of things made one item and another group made another item without much of an impact. Juicing an apple or an orange made no difference because they both produced the same thing - "fruit juice". - It failed to take the Stardew concept and really change it up to fit the space theme. The radiated crops were probably the coolest new idea introduced. It was literally just Stardew in space; the farming, the smelting, the fighting, the socializing with the crew, the animals that produce materials - even the museum and weekly merchant were in there! More ideas unique to the space theme would have been nice to see implemented. - Here's the biggest one: the game feels incomplete. Once you finish the story that is it! It would have been so easy to keep adding new planets, new aliens, new crew members, new crops and materials, the list goes on and on. There are only six planets to discover, then you are done. Two holidays are all that exist on the calendar. After you have finished the story, Space Alliance even tells you to await for further missions... but it looks like none will ever come. With that said, I still enjoyed the game but I felt like it could have been so much more with a dlc or two. Overall, despite its few flaws and missed potential, I still enjoyed taking the time to play through it even if it did seem to come to a sudden halt. I finished the story, got married, filled the museum, and maxed out my captain level. I am sure Space Alliance would be proud!

A game like Stardew Valley but different. I enjoyed this game so much so far bc it has so much character and creativity in it!
