About
EPILEPSY WARNING: Do not play if you are sensitive to flashing lights.
Based on true events, this first-person, atmospheric horror experience will have you traverse the radioactive bowels of the Chernobyl blast site, carefully orienting your every step based on the readings of your Geiger counter. Each liquidator has their own set of skills to provide a variety of approaches for each hazardous challenge. Whether they all make it out, or succeed at all, is in your hands.

This project is dedicated to all the liquidators, first responders, and support units that responded to the Chernobyl disaster. Through interactivity, people can experience the simulated danger and horrors of their missions firsthand. It is our goal to raise awareness/support for the people that contained the fallout.
Originally, we did this by promoting donations for Chernobyl Children International and similar organizations in lieu of paying for the game. However, as the devastating war in Ukraine has unfolded (including the terrifying standoff at Chernobyl), we are now asking that players donate to the UNICEF fund for affected Ukrainian children.
UNICEF Ukrainian Children's Fund: Since Steam no longer allows links on storefronts, we ask people to search for "Unicef Ukraine" on their browsers and donate on the official Unicef website for Ukrainian war victims.
(We are not affiliated with UNICEF, Chernobyl Children International, or any other organization. We chose to showcase UNICEF and Chernobyl Children International because of their reputation. This game was an independently developed student project by a small team of volunteers from various backgrounds.)
Control member of liquidators team in Chernobyl. Seems to be ok. Play mostly like walking sim, some goals must be completed. Kinda hard to finish, hazards must be avoided and 3 crew members are available when everyone dies it's game over.
Very cool game! My girlfriend, who is really into Chernobyl, enjoyed watching me play : )
Very unsettling and and the very well done with the audio, thoroughly enjoyed it and was just the perfect length.

It's only a 40 minute experience that is actually so fun and psychologically scary AND it's free Highly recommend
No cheesy jumpscares, monsters, or anything, yet its still horrifying, but the only thing I can truly complain about is the inaccuracy around the death squads mission, they never went into the basement where the Elephants foot is, and the random blobs of corium dont make sense, but all in all its a great game.
Fun! Music choice is excellent and gameplay is very unique.
I sought out a grounded and serious depiction of the Chernobyl disaster in video game form, and I found it. For a free hour-long game, this does a very good job of making sure to not overstay its welcome. You play it, you finish it, you're done with it. That's that. I do have some gripes with the final room of the game feeling very trial-and-error, but other than that, I enjoyed this. ☢️🚰🔦
best 25 mins of my life
it so peak , it makes u actually think about what happend to the liqdators who did this irl and really makes u feel for them , would recommend 10/10
This game is both educational, and terrifying. It took me what feels like several months of chipping away at the gameplay to complete without panicking. It can be completed in an afternoon, depending on how you go about it (and it is critical how you go about it). It doesn't make light of the subject matter, and if that isn't enough, it's free. Please give it a try if you feel you might want to (and know you can disable the graphics filter and increase frame rate in Settings!)
