Fun little game, Does it's job... Kills your time
Slash blocks in specific order fulfilling simple requirements. Not too enthusiastic like some other puzzle games and feels rather boring. Music will makes you sleepy.
As the game's description says "Relaxing, minimalistic 2d-puzzle game." It's true it was pretty relaxing and a simple puzzle game, though later on the puzzles obviously get harder. It's not that bad 7/10
Linked is a minimalist logic puzzle game created by ThinkOfGames and published by Conglomerate 5. Designed around a simple but intellectually engaging concept, the game challenges players to connect points on a grid using a limited set of lines with predetermined lengths. Rather than relying on flashy visuals or complex gameplay systems, the game embraces simplicity and clarity, focusing entirely on pure logical problem-solving. Its calm presentation and methodical puzzle design make it a quiet, contemplative experience that rewards patience and analytical thinking. While it may appear extremely simple at first glance, the mechanics gradually evolve into increasingly intricate challenges that require careful planning and strategic reasoning. The central gameplay mechanic revolves around linking nodes on a grid by drawing lines between them. Each puzzle presents a collection of dots that must be connected using a specific number of lines of various lengths. These lines cannot be placed arbitrarily; they must match the exact measurements provided for the puzzle. Because of these restrictions, every decision becomes significant. A single misplaced line can prevent other connections from fitting properly, forcing players to rethink their approach. The challenge lies in figuring out how to arrange the available lines so that all nodes are connected in the correct configuration without violating the puzzle’s constraints. Early puzzles serve as gentle introductions to the mechanics, allowing players to familiarize themselves with the rules and experiment with simple patterns. These introductory stages are intentionally forgiving, helping players understand how the lengths of lines correspond to the distances between nodes. As the game progresses, however, the puzzles become significantly more demanding. Later levels introduce more nodes, additional line lengths, and more complex layouts that require deeper logical reasoning. Players often need to visualize the entire puzzle structure before placing the first line, anticipating how each connection will affect the remaining possibilities. One of the most satisfying aspects of the game is the process of deduction that emerges as puzzles grow more complex. Because each level has a limited set of possible solutions, players gradually learn to analyze the layout of nodes and identify patterns that hint at the correct arrangement. Some puzzles require players to eliminate impossible configurations step by step, while others rely on recognizing symmetrical structures or hidden shapes within the grid. The experience encourages thoughtful experimentation, where each failed attempt provides valuable information about what the final solution might look like. The game contains a substantial number of puzzles, with more than a hundred levels divided into structured groups that gradually escalate in difficulty. This progression ensures that players continually encounter new challenges while reinforcing the logical skills developed in earlier stages. Even though the core mechanics remain consistent throughout the game, the clever design of the puzzles keeps the experience engaging. Each new set of levels introduces more intricate node arrangements that push players to think in increasingly abstract ways. Visually, Linked adopts an extremely clean and minimalistic aesthetic. The puzzles are presented against simple backgrounds with clear geometric shapes representing nodes and connections. The absence of decorative elements allows players to focus entirely on the logical structure of each puzzle without distractions. Soft colors and smooth animations create a calm visual environment that complements the thoughtful pace of the gameplay. This understated style reinforces the idea that the game’s true appeal lies in its intellectual challenge rather than visual spectacle. The user interface is equally streamlined, allowing players to draw and adjust lines quickly and intuitively. Interactions are straightforward, making it easy to experiment with different configurations without feeling constrained by complicated controls. If a puzzle becomes confusing, players can reset the board instantly and begin again with a fresh perspective. This accessibility encourages a relaxed trial-and-error approach where players can explore possible solutions without frustration. The pacing of the game contributes greatly to its relaxing atmosphere. Unlike many puzzle games that incorporate timers or competitive scoring systems, Linked allows players to progress entirely at their own speed. There is no pressure to complete puzzles quickly, which makes the experience feel more like a mental exercise than a race against the clock. This design choice makes the game ideal for short sessions of focused thinking, whether players are solving a single puzzle during a break or working through several levels in one sitting. Another appealing aspect of the game is how it gradually trains the player’s problem-solving instincts. As players spend more time with the puzzles, they begin to develop a stronger sense of spatial reasoning and pattern recognition. What initially appears to be an overwhelming arrangement of nodes eventually becomes easier to interpret as players learn to visualize connections before placing them. This gradual improvement creates a rewarding sense of progression that comes not from unlocking new abilities but from sharpening one’s own logical thinking skills. Despite its strengths, the minimalist nature of Linked may not appeal to everyone. Because the game focuses exclusively on one core mechanic, players who prefer puzzle games with varied gameplay systems or narrative elements might find the experience somewhat repetitive after extended play. The absence of story, characters, or dramatic visual changes means that the game relies entirely on the quality of its puzzles to maintain interest. For players who enjoy diverse mechanics or evolving gameplay, this simplicity could feel limiting. However, for those who appreciate pure logic puzzles, the game’s focused design is one of its greatest strengths. By removing unnecessary complexity, the developers created an experience that highlights the satisfaction of solving carefully crafted challenges. Each completed puzzle delivers a quiet sense of accomplishment, reinforcing the appeal of thoughtful reasoning and perseverance. Overall, Linked is a calm and elegantly designed puzzle game that celebrates the beauty of simplicity. Its intuitive mechanics, steadily increasing difficulty, and relaxing presentation combine to create a rewarding mental exercise for players who enjoy logical challenges. While it may lack the variety or narrative depth found in larger puzzle titles, its carefully structured levels and minimalist approach make it a satisfying experience for fans of pure puzzle design. For players seeking a thoughtful and relaxing game that emphasizes logic and concentration, Linked offers a quietly engaging journey through a series of clever and challenging puzzles. Rating: 8/10
※English is following. A puzzle game with simple rules and controls. It's inexpensive and has just the right number of stages (volume). If I had to point out one drawback, the "questions" displayed are too small. The instructions, such as "On this level, clear ■■■ blocks three times," are displayed on the left side of the screen, but they're really tiny. When I started playing, I had a hard time knowing where to look or what to do lol. I wish the questions were bigger. However, the tasks themselves are simple, and there are probably some stages where there is more than one solution. On the flip side, you can usually clear most stages by going with the first "will this work?" that comes to mind, and that might mean a different way of clearing depending on the player. It's easy to complete and can be paused at any time, making it perfect for killing a little time.
Fun little brainteaser puzzle game for quick achievement hunt. Took about 90 minutes to finish all 144 levels.
