'Lingua Fleur: Lily' is focused on friendship, love, troubles, efforts, and confusions between girls. Made with illustrations, animations, and original music, this story tells of the protagonist Yuyi Wu's secret, one very different from an 'ordinary' girl. Told in a gentle and ordinary style.

♡ Lingua Fleur: Lily - 04.14.25 ♡ ------------------------------------------- This is a very sweet and short detailing the bond and friendship between two girls in college. This story is beautiful and touches up on the struggles and fears one may experience when coming out. It is a story which focuses on Yuyi coming to terms with her lesbian identity and coming out as well as reflecting on her past rather than it being a yuri romance. Both of the girls are fairly different with our protagonist Yuyi being more introverted & mellow with Yile being more the energetic & sporty type. This makes for a cute dynamic (,,>﹏<,,) There are some really cute & fluffy scenes with them. My personal favorites are when they go shopping together, when Yuyi does Yile's makeup, and when they have tea together. There are also plenty of sad & heartwarming scenes which bring our leads closer together. The music and cgs are also lovely and have a very calming aura about them ♫⋆。 (๑T . T ๑) I will say I was a little disappointed that Yuyi & Yile as a romantic relationship never set sail however the friendship between the girls was still precious and they still got a happy/positive end. ------------------------------------------- ♡ personal rating - 6.5 / 10 ♡
AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES
Lingua Fleur: Lily is a slice-of-life Visual Novel with light yuri undertones. It centers on the friendship between two main characters, weaving in elements of love, conflict, and a touch of melancholy. Overall, it's a charming experience worth recommending. While it may not be a story that stays with you forever, not every tale needs to be. Lingua Fleur is one of those sweet, comforting reads - perfect for unwinding before bed and starting the next day with a smile. It's definitely worth giving a try. Story Let me introduce the characters first: Yile is the classic sporty type - full of energy - while Yuyi is your typical quiet introvert. Both are college students, and the story mainly centers around their growing friendship and the subtle, developing feelings on Yuyi's side. It's a slow burn, so don’t expect much action. But the interactions between the two are charming enough to keep you invested, always hoping for something more. Surprisingly, as the story progresses, it takes on a more bittersweet tone. Without giving too much away, the game does a great job portraying how difficult it can be for some people to come out and live openly - and how that struggle can affect their happiness. Ending spoiler ahead! If you're curious whether the story leans fully into yuri or stays more on the platonic side, read on:
In the end, Yile and Yuyi become (just) roommates. This might be a bit disappointing for those hoping for a more romantic payoff, but to be fair, the game never really hinted at deeper feelings from Yile’s side.
Diary1 This DLC features two short side stories that take place after the events of the main game. Note that the content is not voiced. While the stories are cute and enjoyable, they’re not "must see" (unless you really LOVED the main story). Visuals Visually, the game looks decent. The backgrounds and CGs are well-done - some are impressively detailed - but they tend to be reused quite a bit. It’s not a major issue, but it does become noticeable over time. The character sprites were probably my least favorite aspect. While the designs themselves are solid, they feel slightly out of place stylistically when compared to the rest of the game's visuals. Audio The music isn’t particularly memorable, but it suits the scenes well. The sound effects are used too sparingly (I would love to hear more). As for the Chinese voice acting, it’s decent. The quality could be a bit better, but at least the game includes voiceover, which is a plus. Technicalities After quitting the game, the language unexpectedly switched from English to Chinese - though strangely, this only happened once. I don’t know Chinese, so I can’t compare the original text, but the translation seemed well done. Everything was understandable, with most text errors limited to the DLC, such as typos and missing spaces between words.
This short visual novel is very cute, very gay, and very good.
