'Line simulator' is a funny cartoon-like VR game where you have to wait in line in every level like in a shop. Some levels are located in shops and others in other places such as parties, but anyway, you will have to wait in a line of people anyway. It is then up to you to decide how long you want to wait, throw cheeses or other items at the people in front of you until they give up their spot. You will also have to do certain tasks, for example you will have to search and find items via dialogs or shopping lists. In addition to these lists, you can find even more specific items that lead to higher scores. Early access gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT1oGCUnmwg
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/w38uLquSffo Very close call on whether to recommend or not. I would ideally give it a neutral recommendation as there is something here, however, currently there are just too many issues for me to give this a positive recommendation. I experienced a game-breaking bug where I can't get past the first level (mini-mart) after the latest update. I expect that issue to be fixed soon. This developer has been actively been updating this game since release back in November 2020. I have seen several improvements each time that I have played this game. However, although the game is better now, it still is clunky overall. This is a line simulator. So you're basically standing in line in VR. You stand in line at the mini-mart, at the office party, etc. Well, actually it's really like a hidden object game for VR. You have to find the right items in order to cut in the line. You can also cause some mischief. I believe this game is meant as a gag a minute type game / meme game. You can throw cheese at the customers in front of you to get them to leave the line. However, for the most part, you'll be having to find items to get ahead (and also finding out how to use some of those items). The game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 frames per second. You only have teleportation and snap turning available. Also, in certain areas, only nodal teleportation is available, although you have free teleportation for most of the game. Unfortunately, interactions are not smooth or polished. While the teleport works 90% of the time, you'll be having to try multiple times to move in certain spots. NPCs have voice lines that are meant to be humorous. Unfortunately, the sound work in this game is pretty bad so they are difficult to hear. The voice actors also didn't do a good job and the writing was poor. The visuals are PS2 level and the animations are stiff. Despite my criticisms, this is a unique game in VR. I think if the VOs were funnier and the interactions were more polished, this could be a good experience. However, as it stands now, I can't give a positive recommendation, especially with the current game-breaking bug. I expect the bug will be fixed (there was a huge update today), but then at best, this is just a middling VR game. My Personal Game Score: 7 / 10 + Nice game environment + Has a lot of potential + Fun to play - Buggy sometimes (lagging, cannot push others, held item disappears) - Bad physics sometimes
definitely plays like a very early VR title with teleport only. additionally the game soft locks often, have to do some janky stuff and keep restarting the level to try and progress. Ending was extremely confusing and abrupt.
Only got to the start of the airport level and kinda turned it off because the writing is just awful. The narrator is attempting a Stanley Parableish vibe and its.. ok? Their lines however are not ok and are, in fact, bad. All the humour falls very flat. At one point a cake fight happened and everyone shouted "CAKE FIGHT" and I smiled! Unfortunately it was a smile of pity (wow this is not supposed to be a roast but I am having issues trying to be constructive) It feels like a team made a vr game just to make something. I felt almost no love for what they were trying to achieve. the interactivity feels super low especially in the Office level. I did not get any further than that because its was just so awful to 'sit' through. Scaling is off on objects and NPCs. There are no options to speak of with teleport movement only. Graphical fidelity is pretty low (which would be fine if the art style felt more... cohesive?) almost all voice lines are recorded on potato mics (with the exception of the narrator. Which was not perfect but decent enough) It all just felt low effort (which im sure cant be true as I assume its not easy to make a game but here we are) The premise itself might have legs but every single aspect of the game feels like it needed to stay in the oven. Things I liked: runs well on Quest 2 the weird duck theme permeating everything was amusing I looked inside a cupboard and found an animated diorama of a teddy bear possibly sacrificing another teddy bear (this was possibly the only evidence of love & care I found in the game)
trash game
bom jogo e bem engracado
Wish I played the demo first. I do not recommend anyone play this game now or in the future as doing so will be detrimental to your health. 0/10 Rating overall, 11 minutes was enough to convince me to refund this game. Do so now if you still have the chance.
