About

Step into spaces that feel familiar—and somehow wrong.
LIMSCAPE is a first-person exploration game about entering quiet liminal spaces and uncovering the meanings hidden within them.
You can simply walk. You can climb, swim, and press farther into the unknown.
Beyond that, you can shape the world with your own hands.
Explore. Create. Leave something behind. LIMSCAPE is a world for meeting space at your own pace.
Begin with five official stages.
Hotels, flood-control facilities, metro stations, pools, offices, and cities—
liminal spaces that feel nostalgic yet uneasy invite you on a quiet journey.
You are not only searching for an exit. Discover the stories within these spaces and the meaning embedded in the world of LIMSCAPE.
The condition for clearing a stage is extremely simple.
Move forward and reach the goal.
That is where everything begins.
Exploration does not end with walking.
Swim, jump, crouch, climb, pick up, and throw—
use your body through simple controls, moving through spaces horizontally and vertically.
At first, walking is enough. As your journey continues, you will find places that can only be reached by climbing, swimming, and leaping across.
In the end, you may realize something.
Why did you keep entering LIMSCAPE and seeking the goal?
What is LIMSCAPE, and what purpose does it hold?
【CREATE AND SHARE】
Another journey begins with your own hands.
"Don't be a pawn, be the hand."
The world does not end when you reach the goal.
Beyond the official stages, another possibility awaits.
—You can create a world with your own hands.
Sandbox Mode lets anyone assemble spaces intuitively and bring them to life.
Place and adjust objects with simple tools
Control light, shadow, and physics as you wish
Edit in real time and create a place of your own
Worlds you create can be saved, exported, and imported.
On LIMSCAPERS, you can publish and share the worlds you create.
Published worlds become shared spaces that others can visit and explore.
Starting with LIMSCAPE 1.62.0, we will also release Multiplay Beta through LIMSCAPERS.
Explore a public world in the same space as other players, or share a private room with people you invite.
From explorer to creator.
LIMSCAPE quietly supports that first step.

【PLEASE NOTE】
What to know before you play
We recommend playing LIMSCAPE on a desktop PC with a dedicated GPU.
Laptops and lower-performance graphics environments may not deliver the intended experience.
Sandbox Mode has depth to master.
However, it is designed for beginners to enjoy step by step,
starting with small worlds and gradually growing a space of their own.
LIMSCAPE is an exploration game,
but it also holds potential as a tool for film work and art projects.
【VISION】
A world does not end with one person.
LIMSCAPE continues beyond exploration and creation.
LIMSCAPE is more than an exploration game.
As a "tool for creating worlds,"
we aim for it to become a place for art, filmmaking, and people sharing the same space.
We also plan to add features that further expand the world of LIMSCAPE, including VR support.
This journey has only just begun.
The worlds you create will expand LIMSCAPE's future.
【SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY NOTES】
LIMSCAPE officially supports Windows PCs with a DirectX 12-compatible GPU. macOS—including CrossOver and Parallels—and Steam Deck are not officially supported or guaranteed to work at this time. Please review the system requirements before purchasing.

Very good backroom exploration game. Doesn't repeat too much and keeps you engaged. Hour and hours of gameplay here and good for chilling out.

My favorite liminal space game. Thoughtful, detailed levels that aren't too big or too small. Enough effects, music and items to keep you interested without all the heavy jump scares.
Wow after watching the backrooms movie. This game could genuinely pop off. I'm not necesacially looking for backrooms stuff but just seeing liminal spaces boundaries being pushed into a game with sandbox features this game could go so far !!!! I just wish the optimization was a little bit better!
very good liminal simulation. pretty good atmosphere. despite little to no entities i felt the need to look over my shoulder constently. so defenitly worth the playthrough. this game would be amazing if done in vr, with hopes that it may happen as i would play immediatly.
Впервые играл в игру жанра "Закулисье", с сильно развитым платформингом. Собственно это единственное, что может местами раздражает. А так игра годная
Fantastic game, tickling a very specific kind of liminal feeling for me. Its quite different to most other liminal type games, as in that the typical backrooms vibe isnt the focus, neither are heavy VHS visual effects, or other more typical features. It has a very clean, brutalist and modern aesthetic, making this game feel like it plays in the now, and not the past. The visual quality is also very impressive, and fits the game exactly. Especially the first and second levels, felt a lot like a modern, interactive museum to me, and i loved that. I never had a game hit this specific theme for me. I loved the few but fitting additions of vending machines, often close to a bench, looking like actual small resting places i would want to sit down at for a break. At many points i actually thought "I wish this was a real place and i could go here." It was absolutely amazing. Some areas were more tight and locked down, but many areas were actually very open, some even showing a sky and sunlight, which was a very welcome sight in a liminal game. In many cases it actually felt welcoming, inviting and friendly. And because some parts are interactive, it really never felt boring, or frustrating. I never was lost, and while the game isnt directly linear, its easy to find your way to the end. But you probably want to explore every level fully anyways, this isnt a game were you just wanna rush to the end. Your walking speed btw is quite fast, and sprinting is very fast. I very much liked having the freedom to go as fast as i want basically, but especially because of this, i often took it more slowly and didnt sprint all the time, like i would do in most other games. Also there are community made levels, and a level editor for you to make your own levels. I havent looked into this much yet, but its an amazing and very special addition to a game like this, which increases the replayability by a lot.
