Lies of P is a thrilling soulslike that takes the story of Pinocchio, turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era.

Better than fromsoftware games. Even my picky ahh likes this game ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brutal life of being a French
Elden Ring is the best souls game ive played, then second place is a tie between Stellar Blade and Lies of P. Im a souls head through and through and this game is peak! Enough said. (this game is Sekiro but better). OMG nearly forgot to shout out my boi Arlecchino, probably top 3 bosses ive ever faced, maybe my favorite but its a tough call.
好玩
personally, this is the best soulslike game I've ever played. I loved Sekiro, and this scratches that itch even more. Playing this game parry only is the way to go. I hope another game is made like this, holy. Nothing holds a torch to this game imo. Also play the dlc. The final dlc boss is my favorite souls boss
I wish I could give just an "eh" recommendation. I played and finished the game, and I enjoyed parts, but I found myself frustrated by the same few things: Wayyyyyyyyy too many ambushes. There's basically an ambush around every single corner and on every item. Sometimes the ambush enemy is protected by -- you guessed it -- another ambush enemy. I think this is fine when used occasionally, but basically every other enemy encounter is an ambush. All the defensive options feel icky in this game. Omnidirectional rolling is replaced with some weird little side-scoots that feel like they have zero i-frames. Perfect guarding (parrying) feels delayed a little too long from the player input. Most statuses proc insanely quickly, despite me spec'ing into the increased status defense. Because of this, I found myself playing hyper-aggressively, which is fine, but not how I prefer to play my souls-likes; I'd rather learn the patterns and how to roll / strafe them, but man the rolls just feel awful in this game. I think the most attempts I put on a boss in this game was somewhere in the 8-10 range despite all this. They largely felt fair and I never really found myself struggling against them. Honestly, some of the level elites are harder after being constantly chipped down by ambushes. I'm still marking this as a "recommend" since I think that is what the game deserves, but just wanted to make some critiques for anyone who is also venturing out of the FromSoftware ecosystem.
I put this game off for a while because it was the "really good non-fromsoft souls-like" and was worried it wouldn't feel as good as DS or ER but after finally giving it a shot I can say this deserves your time and attention if you've been on the fence. By the end of the game and DLC I found myself even enjoying some of the perfect parrying mechanics more than the traditional souls-like dodge rolling. I hope for Neowiz's next game they add some form of multiplayer - I really missed the message system.
When i saw the game at first i thought that i wont like it. So i just bought it and worse case i would just return it. BUT GOD I NEVER EXPECTED IT TO BE SO GOOD. From a studio that doesnt have that much experience in making souls games, its unbelievably well made, it could even rival fromsoftware. Combat system peak, Story peak, Music peak, Bosses peak, Side characters peak. Everything in the game is peak. This game is worth every penny even at full price. It might aswell be the best game I ever played. LIES OF PEAK
