Худший инди хоррор, который я когда-либо проходила! Здесь плохо всё. Прохождение посмотреть тут: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tRw-cPJFUA
LET ME OUT, developed by S1NGLE and published by ALONE GAMES, is a narrative-driven puzzle adventure that leans heavily on atmosphere, cultural storytelling, and emotional undertones rather than mechanical complexity. It follows Alvin, a young boy navigating a strange and unsettling village in search of his missing mother, gradually uncovering secrets tied to supernatural forces rooted in local folklore. From the beginning, the game establishes a tone that is more melancholic and mysterious than overtly frightening, inviting players to immerse themselves in its world rather than confront it head-on. The gameplay is centered on exploration and light puzzle-solving, with players moving through small, interconnected areas while interacting with objects and collecting items that unlock progression. The puzzles themselves are relatively straightforward, focusing on observation and logical connections rather than intricate systems or difficulty spikes. This makes the game accessible to a wide audience, but it also means that the challenge rarely becomes a defining feature. Instead, the act of solving puzzles feels secondary to the experience of uncovering the story and piecing together the environment’s hidden details. Atmosphere is where LET ME OUT makes its strongest impression. The environments are carefully designed to evoke a sense of isolation and unease, with dim lighting, fog, and subtle visual cues guiding the player’s attention. The game avoids relying too heavily on jump scares, choosing instead to build tension gradually through pacing and suggestion. Occasional encounters with supernatural elements introduce moments of urgency, but these are used sparingly, allowing the overall experience to remain focused on exploration and mood rather than constant threat. The narrative is deeply influenced by regional folklore, which gives the game a distinct identity compared to more generic entries in the genre. The story unfolds in fragments, revealed through interactions, environmental details, and character encounters. Alvin’s personal journey is intertwined with broader themes of loss, fear, and the unknown, creating a narrative that feels intimate despite its supernatural elements. While the plot is not overly complex, it maintains enough intrigue to keep players engaged, encouraging them to continue exploring in search of answers. Visually, the game adopts a stylized approach that emphasizes tone over realism. The environments are often muted and shadowy, with lighting used effectively to create contrast and highlight important elements. Character designs are simple but expressive enough to support the story, and the overall presentation works well in reinforcing the game’s atmosphere. The sound design plays an equally important role, with ambient noises and subtle musical cues enhancing the sense of tension and immersion. There are, however, noticeable rough edges that affect the overall experience. Interactions can sometimes feel imprecise, requiring players to position themselves carefully to trigger certain actions, which can break immersion. Navigation is not always intuitive, and there are moments where it is unclear how to progress, leading to unnecessary trial and error. These issues are not constant, but they can be frustrating when they occur, especially in a game that relies heavily on maintaining atmosphere. The relatively short length of the game is both a strength and a limitation. It keeps the experience focused and prevents its ideas from becoming overstretched, but it also means there is limited opportunity for deeper mechanical or narrative development. Once completed, there is little incentive to return, as the gameplay remains largely the same and the story does not branch significantly. Despite these shortcomings, LET ME OUT succeeds in delivering a cohesive and emotionally engaging experience within its scope. It prioritizes mood, storytelling, and cultural identity over complexity, resulting in a game that feels distinct even if it is not particularly ambitious in its mechanics. It is best approached as a short, atmospheric journey rather than a challenge-driven adventure. In the end, LET ME OUT stands as a modest but memorable title that offers a unique blend of folklore-inspired storytelling and exploration. While it may not fully realize all of its potential, it provides a thoughtful and immersive experience for players who value narrative and atmosphere over depth and replayability. Rating: 7/10
I would give this one a mixed review. It was very short, the enemy you encounter is very dumb and will follow you all the way to one of the many lockers just sitting around in a hedge maze and stare at you for a minute and then run away. Like wtf lol?
我绕了好几圈不知道干什么 只有一个锁着的建筑和一片四面空气墙的山坡
