this is short and Sweet!!!
this game is rally cool. it keeps you interested in its creatures the whole time. i am already part of the cult :)
Hm. 100% in 3 hours (technically 2 if that, as I spent the first hour the game was open fairly distracted by a couple of other things.) I'm having a hard time figuring out whether or not to recommend this. It's definitely an expansion beyond the demo, but functionally not by much. Adds the fear mechanic and the challenge mode, the former of which is another feature, but isn't really a "mechanic" per se. The latter is a mode where you have to "balance your upgrades" but unless I mindlessly nailed it first try, there's absolutely no "balancing" necessary in challenge mode as long as you just.... make the amount of souls/faith required for the upgrade. This is an expansion from the demo in a VERY "yeah, it's all there on paper...." way. Being honest, I can't say the little bit of added material really does anything for me that the demo didn't, other than pad the runtime out an extra ~40 minutes. It's tricky because even a fun lil time waster deserves support, and who knows how well this would've been received if I hadn't played the demo first. But it's $5 for a game I 100% completed in ~2 hours that's a singular game feature away from basically being the demo. I'd say 2 features, but given that there IS no challenge to the challenge mode, it's functionally the same as playing a truncated version of the story mode. You might as well just start a new story game.
Jeu court mais sympa, platiné en moins de 2H
Baue deine Sekte auf und gib deinem Hirn das Dopamin was es brauch.
it need more content its very much the same is the demo
If your are a fan of this type of game, this one is a must-have. It is so well executed. You start innocently enough with preachers and faith, but then it soon spirals into sending monsters to terrify the people and finally, harvesting their souls to raise 'HIM'. By the time you realize what is going on, you are in deep. Other game devs should take note - this game has the most balanced and effective skill tree I have seen in a long time. Every upgrade counts and makes an immediate impact. Even near the end I was still excited about grinding out the next upgrade, only to see one after I wanted even more. No filler, no paywalls, no bogus upgrades to buy to see what it after. Very well done and well worth the cost in terms of gaming value.
Very fun short and simple game with quality graphics and sound design. I did expect to see a little more to the story or some more interactability, especially in the settlement. Overall pretty good game and I would love to see more
