Felt way more LEGO then The Skywalker Saga did; all the different movie references was so peak. So many freaking collectibles though.
Summary
I would recommend this game but only if it is on a big sale. For being a Lego game this took a complete turn from what Lego games are normally like especially with its combat. The combat feels like its from one of the bigger Batman games than from a Lego game. I also felt like the game was extremely buggy at certain points in time especially the final mission. Some cutscenes were even a struggle to watch. A lot of the boss fights felt anti-climatic as well since I could just stun-lock them with my gadgets. Its also a really short game for the $70 price. Overall I didn't hate my time with the game but I didn't overly enjoy it either. If the bugs got ironed out I would probably recommend this game much more because the story is actually decent. But do not buy at full price at least not right now.
overhyped nostalgic bait, game stutters on cutscenes driving feels very clunky and the camera is constantly moving away from where your trying to look player 1 can only play as batman in a lego game and there are only like 6 unlockable characters and all charcters other then batman are exclusive to the second player most of the mechanics in this game (gliding, grapple hooks, driving, etc) just feel rushed/unfinished/clunky dialogue feels like it was written by a ai
too laggy. dont get unless your ready to change every setting or have a extremly good computer.
Algumas decisões me incomodaram bastante durante a gameplay.
I recommend it, but I am more impressed by the premise than the actual game. As a Batman fan, I love the idea of playing through his history with different suits, Batmobiles, characters, and versions of Gotham. The expanded Batcave, Bat-Mite store, and all the references to different eras of Batman are great additions. My biggest problem is the LEGO format. It constantly kills the immersion. The humor is not the issue by itself, because some of it genuinely works. Batman can be dark and serious while still being sarcastic, witty, awkward, compassionate, or completely deadpan. The problem is that the LEGO humor sometimes gets too exaggerated and pulls me out of the experience. The gameplay does not help. The combat feels rough and blocky, and the gliding is awkward, especially compared with how smooth and satisfying the Arkham games were. I also like the idea of working with other characters and switching between them during certain missions, but I do not like how it is handled here. Batman and Robin splitting up to handle different parts of an objective could work extremely well, along with Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, or possibly Catwoman. For people who love LEGO games, have at it. This game is clearly made for that audience. I am not asking for another Arkham sequel. In my opinion, the Arkham games set the standard for how a Batman game should look, feel, and play, but this is a completely different concept. I hope someone takes this broader idea, rewrites the story for a more serious and realistic presentation, and builds a separate Batman game with Arkham-style visuals, combat, movement, and atmosphere. Watching Gotham change, seeing characters age, and experiencing Batman’s suits, vehicles, allies, and equipment evolve over time could be incredible. Keep the sarcasm, dry humor, humanity, and character-driven moments. Just dial back the exaggerated comedy and let the world feel real. The LEGO version is okay, but this concept has the potential to become the Batman game many of us have dreamed of.
Well...I had fun with the game. But I have to give it a thumbs down because it is ridden with minor bugs. Characters get confused by such things as, um, floors and walls. Animations break. Gliding is frequently unpleasant. Sometimes puzzles accept wrong answers and sometimes they don't accept correct answers. None of these are permanently broken --- wait a bit or try again from a slight different angle and eventually it works. However this is a LEGO version of 15 year old fully 3 games and it can't even run as well as those. (As far as I can tell, the studio abandoned doing patches after the first month.) Buy it if you like, but please please wait for a sale and don't reward these companies by paying full price.
