Forget every Battle Royal Game you have ever played. This is the next big think
What a waste. I don't advise anyone to buy it.
Warning: Asset Flip! Lawnmower Game: Battle is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Marketplace assets, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper took a bunch of low quality, mismatched asset packs and dumped them onto the usual low quality driving template to make another shovelware bare minimum viable product cash grab asset flip. It has no value or merit as a real game. Blackthug/Tero Lunkka/Valkeala Software have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The mismatched game assets are fairly mediocre/low quality, it's a wonder why they couldn't be bothered "borrowing" higher quality assets for this asset flip. This is a lot like going on a shoplifting spree but only stealing the cut price store brand goods. Regardless, the poor quality assets alone should be enough to deter gamers from bothering with this. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players, and the worst part is these weren't genuine players, these were the Russian fake review accounts that the developer paid to make the fake reviews. Since the fake reviews are all done, now the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product.
This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 100,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! Lawnmower Game: Battle is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Fun Battle Royal fighting with lawn-movers. Unfortunately it is a bit buggy. + Different kind of Battle-Royal. + Quite easy for Achievement hunters. + Retro Arena-level is shimmering and beautiful. - AI halts / get stuck, after a short time in each map. Then you can just go next to it and shoot them to oblivion. - Your own Lawn-mover get stuck in many places, especially in maps with height differences. - No possibility to mute music. - Key-bindings - MG shooting should be in Mouse1. I liked a game... It has many flaws as many possibilities... I hope dev makes updates. So I can update this review. Achievements 100% / ~1h

A dismal failure. Lawnmower Game Battle is what happens when democracy fails, your parents divorce each other, the american dream is shattered, unicorns stop existing, and the only thing to eat in the fridge is a half empty bottle of water. Lawnmower Game Battle (or, Mr LGB), began his career at cambridge in 2005, where he obtained a bachelors in light displays. He attempted to take over his father's business but was refused for being "too terrible to even think about" Mr LGB was not the first of his legacy to fail, but certianly finds himself to be the among the worst, only slightly less terrible than his older brother, racing. Mr LGB returned to the academic world, but found that he had left his legs, brain, and ability to be tolerated by anyone, at home with his farther. Unable to retrieve these vital qualities due to foreclosing on his home, his Farther would keep them as collateral until such a time that he "did right by the lawnmower name" To no one's suprise, Mr LGB was kicked out of his graduate studies once he was caught making out with the janitor's underage cleaning mop in the 3rd floor cleaning closet. Mr LGB then did exactly the thing that made him most infamous of all- follow in his brother's footsteps. Recycling the assets used by his grandfather, Lawnmower game the next generation, he would waste them on attempting another multiplayer focused affair. Naturally women were not interested and he fell further into debt. Indeed, is it not common sense that man cannot make a multiplayer lawnmower game? Not to Mr LGB, it seems who stuck his entire well being, lowly reputation, and repayment plan, on the attempt. Mr LGB is now serving 27 consecutive life sentences in Alcatraz for crimes against our steam libraries. It is rummored he struggles with a heroin addiction and prison officials are still puzzled by how he gets his supply. In short the brilliant legacy of lawnmower games has be tarnished by the foul legacy Lawnmower Game:Battle leaves behind it. Hopefully another savior will arise to save this hallowed dynasty.
A small game that's best suited for play during breaks. I like the large amount of stages and the playable lawn mowers were funny. For some reason the game consumes a lot of GPU on the main menu — a whole 93% with a GTX 1080Ti; Not sure why this could be. Lack of occlusion culling?
Great, fun, positive game in which we have to ride and fight on lawn mowers The price is very nice. Time flew by in it. If there are new updates it will be great. Maybe new arenas and lawnmowers are planned?
