Not bad needs more, but june the main dev has been working hard to make this game really worth it
Update of 2021-01-14: so, there was the bit in the original review that said "actively developed"? Scratch that, current state of the game is approximately the same as back then, basic avatars+worlds mirror simulator without even basic social functions. And priced at $20. A shame. Check out ChilloutVR if you're looking for alternative social VR platforms instead. Review as of ~2019-12-12. Will update once something changes. TLDR: not worth it yet unless you're interested in nightly/alpha quality builds. Has the potential to be great once it's more polished. There are many kinds of early access games in different states of usability and polish. Unfortunately, Lavender in its current state is hard to recommend. Many systems are absent (friends, scripting) or extremely barebones. The bugs are plentiful. Player population is low. The game as envisioned by developers has the potential to be the next GMod in VR, however, as it is right now it's hard to use for anything besides very basic standing around and chatting. It is being actively developed though, and the speed of said development is fairly decent. With time, this would become an easy recommendation.

I supported this on patreon before it released on steam, I have barely seen any progress from this since then and I regret supporting it before. I do not recommend buying this at all unless in the future more substantial progress is made.
Abandoned, eternal early access project. Refund denied.
Dead game, avoid at all costs. Thanks!
The best social game of all atm. Don't look at negative comments you see on the bottom. Most of the issues people have with this game is fixed literally the same/next day or it's just them being dumb and not knowing how something works. Game is being developed by TWO people and even then, they're doing incredible job with keeping in touch on Discord, bugfixing and actually making the game in a performance oriented way. This game already has stuff that VRChat will NEVER EVER have: you can host your own server, the game doesn't drop frames after 3 people joining in, you can spawn 100+ props without it chugging, Player to player physic interaction plus many more on the way. Plus scripting. Also LOD LEVELS ON PROPS, YOU CAN ACTUALLY DO STUFF THE RIGHT WAY AS A MODDER/ CONTENT CREATOR 10/10.
平均同接0.2人くらい(0~2ではない) 知らない他の人と出会えたらもう結婚してもいいレベル 一人ぼっちの世界に興味があればどうぞ、それVRChatでよくね?
As of Jan 4, 2019 there is absolutely nothing to do. You load up, sign in, and stare at your default model in the mirror. Content wont load, and social is (DISABLED) in the menus. Trying to join one of the worlds just sends you back to your 'home' area again. The steam community and discord server are a pretty much empty, responses typically take days. Maybe some day it'll be a viable product to challenge VRChat, but right now it is a very pretty (and expensive) tech demo.
Sadly Can't reccomend in its current state, but I'm sure it'll improve over time :) so check recent reviews and see where the game is at
Game doesn't work at all, numbers for instances are being faked.
