Nice game. Tricky in places. I'd say sniper FTW!

[h1]The Right Way to Do RTS[/h1] Absolutely excellent real-time strategy game with an excellent story on top of very well thought-out combat mechanisms. It's a fictionalized account of the Czechoslovak Legion's return from Russia after the Russian Revolution started, brought Russia out of WWI, and left around 80,000 Czechoslovak soldiers stranded between Moscow and Siberia. In real life, it took nearly two years to get everyone out, along with many civilians, via ships out of Vladivostok. The game obviously doesn't follow the historical narrative, but conveys the urgency, the confusion of dealing with numerous factions in Civil War Russia, the survival, and the battle for reaching home. The gameplay can be approached from many angles, with — to me — the most surprisingly excellent being stealth. Some might argue it's overpowered, but you are not obliged to use it if you find it too easy. There is a nuanced and well thought-out difficulty tree where you can choose whether to focus just on story, combat, resource management, or both, and it can be tweaked to challenge any player. It's really refreshing to see an RTS game respect its players and not cater to only the casual or hardcore crowd — [b]this is the right way to do it.[/b]
