Reviews
The simplest way I can review this game is to say, if there was more of it I would play it. It has rough edges and it's clear it was made in a short timespan, but the game manages to not have its one mechanic get old over the entire duration which is commendable. There is clear potential to expand what is already here, which points to a solid foundation. Below are a couple things I ran into which I either think are good to note or could be improved. - I played everything up until the final stage of the boss fight on controller, but the final section becomes a little too hard to aim that way and I switched to a mouse. Generally on controller, its harder to predict where the arm exactly is gonna go (also because of the slight tilt it has from the center of the character). I think implementing some sort of targeting reticle when playing on controller would make it a nicer experience. - I managed to fully break the game once, by grappling too far ahead when the boss switches from the right side of the screen to the left. The game skipped to the ending, then I died and then the controls didn't work anymore. - Also by grappling too far ahead I once got the game to spawn two of every enemy. - I think the music is very nice, it fits well with the game and the aesthetic. - I sometimes felt that dying when you grapple to an enemy too close to a ledge was a little unfair, since it seemed to be required. - The tank enemy didn't always communicate clearly why I died, which made it a little frustrating. - The "enemies" that just run around are fun to play with for a little bit, and they get replaced by others just as you (or at least me) realize they can't hurt you, which was great timing - I kinda get the combo system with the two arms and I like the way its communicated through the colors but I don't understand what advantage it gives you.
Its fun game, The music is very good! Had alot of fun.
Really enjoyed playing through this game!! The music is super nice, especially the second song. The mechanic of grappling is really fun for both movement and combat. The boss fight was hard but also really enjoyable once you finish it as the ending was great! I would recommend! this game is also perfect if you like speedrunning.
Nice game! At first I did not know what the goal was, but the limited colors really guide your path. The difficulty gradually increases and it feels satisfying when you finally finish. The music is very good and gets stuck in your head!
Fun game! The beginning starts off quite relaxed and feels more like a story-game, and then at some point the game becomes seriously difficult and a fun challenge. Also probably fun to speedrun.
A fun and quirky game! The controls and objectives are super intuitive, making it easy to jump right in. Trying to speedrun it was a completely different experience very challenging and engaging. Definitely something I’d recommend!
Interesting game and fun for the first couple of hours. However, some new mechanics and game pace changes would be nice!
Fun game with good build up for the little story and mechanics. The different type of enemies keeps the game fresh. The boss battle is really cool too. Music is well done and fits the theme.
great game!! very challenging but also satisfying. Worth the purchase for sure.
The game mechanic is fun. racing through hordes of enemies by grappling is sick and the wave animation makes you feel pretty powerfull. The music is nice. Bossfight is a little annoying but that also makes beating the game that much more satisfying!
