Ok. I'll start saying that this game is AMAZING. Now, some details. The music is getting you to the perfect hectic state that any gamer wishes. It makes you focus only on the game. Nothing else matter. To control the game with the Keyboard, is a bit of a challenge. I hope they change to WASD and set the feature to IJKL (for example). But, if you play using an Xbox Control, it's flawless. The jumping distances, the shooting, the explosions, everything shows that these guys took the time to test their game thoroughly. All the features of the character are stunning. My favourite is bullet time by far. Nevertheless the shields is a "gaming changing" for the genre. You can use the shields as protection but also as platforms... oh bro... BRILLIANT. The game is challenging. Don't expect things to be easy, but rest assure that it's addictive. I found myself repeating "let me try once more" time after time. I hope these guys release the game for Switch as well. Count with me. I'll purchase it for sure.

I played the free open alpha version of Last Soul that is now out on Steam. I really loved the game even though it was only 2 levels and I can't wait to see what they'll come up with in the full game. This game is a action platformer with a few twists. It has special powers like bullet time for instance. Or the ability to place shields which you can use to block incoming projectiles or stand on them to reach higher places. Remember those games from the past like Turrican or Metal Slug? Yea... this reminds me a bit of that. Like I said, can't wait what they'll come up with in the final version of this game. One to keep an eye on definitely!

Pros: Good story, solid gameplay, nice music, works well under Linux w/ Proton Cons: Controls require tweaking (even with a controller), characters look small on screen (playing on a TV)
