LA Monsters

Игра 'LA Monsters' - это динамичный и захватывающий экшен, где вы в роли спортсмена-суперзвезды сражаетесь с полчищами монстров в декорациях Лос-Анджелеса. Геймплей прост в освоении, но предлагает достаточно глубины благодаря разнообразию оружия и способностей, которые можно улучшать. Мне особенно понравилась возможность кастомизировать персонажа, выбирая из крутых костюмов и аксессуаров. Графика игры, хоть и не самая передовая, выполнена в ярком и стильном комиксном стиле, что отлично подходит общему тону. А вот саундтрек действительно крут, бодрый и энергичный, идеально дополняет безумный экшен на экране. Единственный минус, пожалуй, это некоторая однообразность уровней, но это компенсируется непрекращающимся потоком врагов и постоянным прогрессом персонажа. Игра отлично подходит для коротких, но интенсивных игровых сессий, позволяя быстро расслабиться и выпустить пар, отстреливая орды чудовищ. В целом, рекомендую 'LA Monsters' всем любителям аркадных шутеров и просто тем, кто хочет весело провести время.

A really badly programmed joke of an engine displaying this non-interactive VN in the most obnoxious way possible. The bad graphics are made even worse with the help of some annoying hipster filters. You're never sure when you'll have to click the "NEXT" button or when the game will decide by itself to chain several pages one after the other in bad sychronization with the narration. The narration, done apparently by a hobo, is the most interesting thing in this software, if you want... The story is okay. It sounds like it was written by a kid in the 80s or something. Or maybe it's just that the authors are very dedicated to adhering to the analog/retrowave meme. That would explain the insistance on namedropping "VHS tapes". The whole thing is made more tragic if you imagine it's something that the hobo narrator wrote on a sheet of paper as a kid, and kept in his pockets while living on the street. Anyway I'm not sure you'll want to subject yourself to this unpleasant experience just for that banal story. It reminded me of many old movies and cartoons exalting the "childhood innocence" meme, and how overused that theme had been in the past. Children aren't really innocent or magical and now that I'm older I suspect the people who wrote those old stories were a bit too much into children, if you get my drift. Anyway...the fact that this game is free doesn't make it good because your time isn't free.
