A psychological drama from the perspective of an apathetic guy who is detached from casual suicidals, sexually aggressive idiots, and daily murderers. This is all until an intellectual genius of a woman named Samarah comes in to challenge him and the world of logical inconsistencies.

It's marketed for adults only but the writing is not up to the task. A bunch of murders happen in the very first scene as well as some very awkwardly worded sex, but none of it means anything. The protagonist spends the whole time the murders are happening talking about how they don't care about murders anymore. Samarah, the antagonist, is the most exhausting human I have ever read. All of the writing is clumsy. Deciphering the intent from what is written is the only real gameplay mechanic I experienced. The whole script needs to be put through grammarly, or better yet, have an editor go over it for "Logical Inconsistencies". This game is not for me. https://youtu.be/4V5_uWm6ptk

This game was made by someone I think I consider a friend, whatever that even means. So I don't exactly have the perspective of a normal customer. Yet its flaws are so obvious that despite my personal bias towards it, if the normal customer were to ask if this game is currently worth buying with your real human money, I would say: No. While in the process of reading this visual novel, I wrote the following: "Every time I see another miscarriage of a sentence I think "But I've already screenshot-ed like twenty", and every time the sentence is just so unbelievably bad I have to comment on it. Cam despite appreciating the fact you made this and not wanting to hurt you or anything, I can't sugarcoat it in any way; the prose is bad. It's not just every once in a while and it's not just a little bad. It is god-awful constantly. The grammatical errors, omissions, typos, spelling errors... They never end and they don't get better. And even without all the just plain wrong stuff, the prose is still awkward with lots of unnecessary "wet water"-like bits. Things are said in the most contrived, unnatural way on a regular basis. Logical Inconsistencies does not quality as a properly finished prose narrative." And having just finished the VN, this does not change throughout. The prose is unforgivably unfinished for a commercial product. It does not respect those who would spend their money on this. For me, 6.89 euros doesn't mean that much and I'm willing to pay it to read a friend's creation. But taking a less emotionally biased position, this game does not justify itself as a commercial product. If even ONE person had read through the entire game with the basest of attention beforehand, it would have been significantly improved. Apparently some people did proofread it, which convinces me that all the people Cam associates with besides me are monkeys he trained to type pre-written sentences and play recordings just to trick me into believing there are others. But with all that said, despite me being unable to acknowledge Logical Inconsistencies as a quality product, I can acknowledge it as a promising if incredibly rough piece of art. The environment, while amateurishly depicted, is really cool. like a fusion of Silent Hill and 8-Mile (aka real life Detroid), with its ever-present mist and dilapidated concrete buildings. I also really like some of the character designs even if sometimes their arms transform into the Hulk or their face gets hit by a truck offscreen. Luna especially has a character design which is really appealing to me, which is why it's a shame her sprite looks wonky, the little side-panel looks better than her actual sprite. Samarah's drab army-style attire is also memorable. Getting into the actual plot, this is supposed to be the first chapter of a longer story, and this chapter focuses on the character of Rachel. Without spoiling too much, she's quite an interesting character and while she too suffers under the roughness of the whole production, I still ended up appreciating it in the end. So should you buy this? The better question to ask would be, why did I ask that obviously rhetorical question after constantly bashing the game? But should you keep an eye on what Cam will make in the future? Yes, I think you should.
