It's got simple but solid stealth-based RPG gameplay with a story all about ninjas and political intrigue! It's kinda like playing a period-piece drama or something to that effect. Also, when you lose... You actually win ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) There's a large variety of nice "losing scenes" in addition to the fun gameplay. It's short though, so I'd suggest waiting for a sale.

The available set of skills and stats is pretty minimal, which allows for fast gameplay. Case in point: combat encounters, including boss fights, are typically resolved pretty quick. Another convenient feature is that losing battles doesn’t have any negative consequences, other than waking up in your bed and needing to try again. At the start of the game, you’re about to take the final exam of your training, which serves as a gameplay tutorial. After passing the exam, you’re sent on a mission to find and defeat the demonic warlord Ikoku. Accompanying you on your travels is your friend and training buddy Aoi, who has orders to act as your assistant and gather information. The gameplay is mostly linear, but there are a few choices to make in the game that will eventually lead to different endings. In addition, there are several NPC-encounters and mini-events to be found. Neither of these are very obvious; you’ll have to do some old school RPG’ing (searching areas thoroughly, talking to everyone,etc.) The story itself is lighthearted; Tsubaki stays upbeat and motivated to reach her goals, regardless of what happens to her. [b]QUALITY[/b] Despite (or perhaps because of) its barebones ruleset, Kunoichi Tsubaki is a pretty entertaining game for its genre. Combat is balanced enough to provide you with a bit of a challenge, without ever becoming too much of a drag. As a result, you can spend most of your energy on exploration, which – considering the various easter eggs – is quite fun, if you care for such things. The music and the (limited) voice acting are also nice. [h1]THE GOODS[/h1] [b]SUBJECT[/b] Most of the lewd in Kunoichi Tsubaki is about Tsubaki having sex with enemies and other NPC’s. Quite often, this happens intentionally; as kunoichi, Tsubaki is trained to use both weapons and her charms to get the job done. Of course, her enemies also regularly get the opportunity to take advantage of her. In these cases, she typically resists at first, but ends up enjoying it down the road anyway. There are also a few scenes available featuring other (female) NPC’s, including Tsubaki’s friend Aoi. The latter tends to woe her bed partners on purpose, in order to glean information.
