Built from the ground up for VR, Krieg is a team-based fantasy multiplayer competitive game. Thrown into the middle of a war between The King's Army and The Ancients, only the strongest will survive. This war of epic mercenaries and guardians will decide the fate of the realm.

An early review really to let people on my friend list with VR HMDs know about this game, it's free, it's multiplayer and it looks kinda cool. Worth DL and getting some games going. Graphics look fine to me, it's more of a PVP team MP so average graphics are good. Choice of characters I have only tried the double arrow shooter with spider man web sticking guy so far. Anyway it's free and worth giving a go, better than half the ♥♥♥♥ people are charging for in VR.
Krieg does a lot of things right in VR. It has very varied class styles that each have unique locomotion options and abilities. As a fan of Overwatch, TF2, or Shadowrun, I have great appreciation for the design choices made by the developers. The game is a very fun with fast paced 5v5 combat. Sure, there are a few bugs on launch day, but Castle Steps has been excellent at taking player feedback and pushing updates out at a break-neck speed. I have 100 VR games and have had my vive/rift since April 2016. You are doing yourself a disservice by not picking this game up for less than $10 or giving the demo a shot! Krieg has tremendous promise and already delivers a satisfying experience!
It's a really fun game. A few bugs or problems may occur here and there, but it is a very solid game so far. The dev team is fast at fixing problems, and seem to really care about community and their game. I have over 6+ hours into the game and it's still a blast too play. The demo is free.
DOWNLOAD THIS GAME NOW! it's free, it looks awesome, what are you waiting for?! looks like this is what i've been missing to fill the void of VR fantasy arena that i've been wanting. this is it. edited after about 2hrs of messing around with the characters and environment: DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS MEETS CALL OF DUTY?! so are you like me and you like fantasy Player Vs Player (PVP) Arena games? World of Warcraft Battlegrounds/Arena, League of Leagends/Heroes of the Storm MOBAS, Guild Wars, etc etc? are you also like me and you like team based objective game modes like Hardpoint in Call of Duty? King of the hill? Domination? THIS LOOKS LIKE THE BEGINNING OF ALL THAT WRAPPED UP AND PLAYABLE IN VR! I would love to see some life breathed into this game, let's see what kinda trouble we can get into :D
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
Krieg is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. The developers abandoned this 7 years and 4 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the game. They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. This VR exclusive PvP arena shooter was a train wreck in terms of implementation, too... well, you don't move around much (and movement is key in PvP game design)... the assets look flipped, the developers abandoned this train wreck even before the players did, from the looks of it. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $15 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on unfinished, low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. This is a slap in the face to anyone naive enough to back this project thinking the developer would make good on their promises. Instead, the developers kept the money from all the backers they scammed. Not a single cent has been refunded. So that's a lot of reasons for this to have fallen in a heap, and that's what it did. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
hopefully the dev looks at this and doesnt have someone make another fake review to cancel out my negitive response. first dont say you have Free locomotion if you only have snap turnning and not smooth. The controls have more inputs than just the triggers and grips, try using them. The jumping is just all kinds of complicated and stupid, I have to fully stop hold both grips move my arms up to "charge" then throw my arms down and release both grips and hope i jump......Whats wrong with a single button press so i can continue moving while i jump. Is this a sword game, a bow and arrow game, a thrown object game , a punching game or a sorry attemp at a climby knock off. Controls Should be simple and comprehensible. to jump push one button. to grab and hold something hold one grip button. to drop item release grip. the reseaon alot of people dont play vr is because devs are just make novalty game and stand in place games. and then there are devs such as yourself with fantastic ideas. but you try to over complicate things to the point people feel more confusion than a sence of enjoyment. Simple Simple Simple. VR is new and its not gonna take off if everybody is making stand in place novalty game or really complex "this is to confusing" games. run jump swing throw shoot make the inputs simple and easy. if each character has some specail move then make that complex but dont use buttons you're already using for other tasks. Also have the tutorial ready before you have the actual game ready. and if you want feedback you should have that ready aswell. why is multiplayer "ready" but learning how to play isnt and feedback isnt. make no sense. the only thing good i can say is it looks somewhat pretty.
hello, i just tried playing for the first time, this is promising just got the odyssey MR. first thing i would like to report is with the archer i couldnt drop the potion or the bomb they are stuck in my hand. the mage`s lasers dont aim properly and the knight shield throw is going more towards to the ground than it should (much like the lasers) also i would prefer to use joysticks 8D THANK U would be awesome if there was nice ppl to play it
