Mom can we have "Fallout 1 footsteps"? We have "fallout 1 footsteps" at home. "fallout 1 footsteps" we have at home :
Fallout 2 in 3D
Boring. Clunky. Empty. Repetitive.
Absolute garbage. Terrible control. Terrible combat. NPC vendors reset their inventories every time you re-enter a zone. So you can abuse that to your hearts content. Layout of levels is more beneficial to the enemy. It funnels your team into narrow walkways, forcing your melee guys to get very little support as you will almost certainly shoot them by mistake. No auto save feature. Clunky menu's. This is still in early access. It's clear the developer made this for VERY LITTLE money. Using unity personal edition ffs. It's also very clear the dev didn't make any money on this because I never heard about it all these years. So it's still a buggy, ugly mess. WIth translation issues abound. What's the biggest problem? Random loot. It is completely random every time you re-enter a space. So if you loot a bunch of containers, then die and replay, those containers now have different loot. This makes building toward a certain build nearly impossible. You have to just hope you get that sniper rifle you are coveting or maybe that really nice melee weapon early on, because the other weapons have such short range. The second biggest issue is that your companions can collide and walk into you and get stuck. Several times I've had my 2 companions completely stuck on terrain or other companions, unable to move. Don't even spend $3 on this trash.

I haven't completed the game yet. I'm looking for my dog "somewhere south", possibly beyond the giant irradiated zone. So far it's been a satisfying game; it doesn't feel "unfinished" or "abandoned" like many other reviews suggest. There's been enough to do in each area, and all the quests I've done so far have worked without bugs. There's a decent selection of equipment. Armour doesn't seem to work properly. I don't know if this is because it wasn't implemented properly, or maybe enemies are just shooting me in the legs every time (the one place you can't wear armour) For the price ($11), it's a decent game.
Brings back memories of Fallout 1 & 2, sure there are bugs here and there but overall it is well worth the price. Need more games like this, thumbs up and must play for FO 2 fans.
Other than combat, games lack in all other departments, if you can put blind eye on that, you can find this game somehow enjoyable. Thumbs up for good attempt making post apocalyptic game.
