Real ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game! The only thing that is easy to archive is killing innocent people and the archivements of how many times one died... I will continue playing it, when my anger goes down, but at the moment I feel bot betrayed and robbed!
Hotline Miami and Max Payne's schizo child

The Good
1. Great soundtrack. Highlight of the game. 2. Dark and intriguing storyline. 3. Hotline Miami-like top down gameplay. 4. Bullet time mechanism. 5. Combat felt tense and satisfying when it works. 6. Max Payne like but schizo protagonist. 7. Beautiful art style. 8. Weapon and player ability customization. 9. Challenging gameplay. Expect to die a lot. 10. Multiple endings.
The Meh
1. You cannot slide in bullet time mode but you can slide to active bullet time, very weird, maybe a bug? 2. Player abilities has marginal to none impact on the gameplay. 3. Janky movement, don't know if it's a camera thing or hitbox problem, player will easily bump into some random object which stop the flow of the game. Although it's not a deal breaker for me since all the fight ends pretty quickly, this still has to be pointed out. 4. Could have added a "throw weapon" mechanics as a last resort like what we've seen in Hotline Miami, since you can't reload your weapon and the melee system sucks in this game.
The Bad
1. The melee system in this game sucks, you have to stand still, hold your right mouse button to raise your hatchet over your head then release it while hoping the enemy not to move to land a successful melee attack, it's awkward to perform and 100% not reliable. Why not just make it free to move and a simple click of a button like other games? Fortunately it's not necessary to beat the game. 2. The bullet speed just way too fast for my taste. I can bear with the super reflex AI but man those bullets are hard to dodge and the player slide has a cool down so it's not helping much in a big fight. It become a shoot and hide peek a boo game in later stages. (Especially in Chapter 3) Imagine Max Payne suddenly becomes a cover base shooter like Gears of War...it's not fun but pain. 3. Weapon behave randomly even with customization, bullet will spread and detour absurdly sometimes, I don't hate adding some random elements in my game but this just need some fix IMHO. 4. Player can't open doors normally, either you do a "slide" against the door to open it or you kick down the door, but beware, once you choose to kick it down, you're better off restarting the level, cause your character was forced to finish the door kicking animation in the mean while the enemies in that room will shoot you dead without any hesitation. I think the only solution to this is adding a bullet time effect after each door kicking so the player could at least defend itself.
Final Verdict 7~6/10 A diamond in the rough that needs some polish.
I like this game and I see the potential behind it, the music, the story, the moment to moment combat all tells you its a well crafted game, tho It was hindered by some wierd design choice, there's fun to be had if you're a top down shooter fan or need more Hotline Miami fix, wish there's more QOL updates for this game cause this is truly something, it's hard, naill bitingly hard, but do give it a chance and get pass those flaws and you might found yourself having the same fun as me!

its pretty good
Kontrakt is a 2D retro pixel top-down twin-stick style action shooter with stealth elements and a couple of gimmicks like ESP enemy detection and time slowing. Gameplay consists of wandering around inside buildings, taking out guards, etc. It's not the concept that's the problem, it's the format. 2D twin stick shooters died in the 1990's when 3D graphics became mainstream. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic low quality art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the mediocre 2D visuals. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the GameMaker Studio construction kit/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset favoured by amateur developers as it's cheap and requires little in the way of development skill, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities. Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. GameMaker Studio is often used to make retro pixel shovelware and cash grabs. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Kontrakt has a laughable, eye watering price of $15 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games, let alone the sheer number of free games available on Steam. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
Wymagająca i psychodeliczna strzelanka z widokiem z góry, w której wcielamy się w rolę psychopatycznego mordercy. Gra wymaga sporo refleksu i dobrego planowania działań. Naszym celem na każdym poziomie jest zabicie wszystkich przeciwników. Do dyspozycji dostajemy kilka rodzajów strzelb, pistoletów maszynowych i karabinów.

TL;DR this game's only purpose is to cause grief and 3 dollars is too steep of a price to actually pay for this game. Looking at this product, it seems like a really good buy. At least it seems like a fun game to waste your time on for a few bucks until the next big title comes out. It isn't. The gameplay itself is pretty simple, walk around and shoot things. There's even the option to use an axe as a melee weapon, if you need to be up close and personal. However that only works if you walk up behind the person without them noticing you, and even then it's not a guarantee that the melee will actually work. Other than that you'll be using a firearm of your choosing and picking up firearms from fallen enemies. However your character doesn't seem to have ever actually shot a weapon before so while your shots are going all over the place your enemies are able to laser you down. The only way to enter a room sealed off by a door is to KICK IT DOWN and alert every enemy in that room and the next 4 rooms around it, which is great if you want to be swarmed by more enemies than any one person can handle. Instead of heart stopping action most of the time you'll be standing and waiting for an enemy to get just outside of earshot so you can take them down one by one. Apparently there's a story attached with it, with shadow figures and a locked basement and I would love to find out what happens with that but... I don't want to play the game to get there. And while I'm a fan of a challenge, any game that has an achievement for how many deaths you have experienced has stopped trying to make a playable game and only wishes to cause pain and frustration. No kooky graphics are gonna be able to change that.
