Pretty standard jigsaw game, overall it was playable and I clearly got more than enough hours out of it for the price. Rating positive as I enjoyed the story and extra bits to the game, however there's a few things I'd change: - Ability to snap pieces together separately from the board. Currently you can only place a single piece 1 by 1 onto the board in the correct place. - The way the screen moves with your mouse on the cut scenes/bonus puzzles is... weird. I love that you can see even more of the puzzle after you've finished it, it's a really great touch, but I think the mouse sensitivity is a bit too high and just doesn't work imo. - Volume settings aren't remembered when you quit the game, so you have to mute every time you start up the game if you wanted it muted. - The game should auto-shuffle the pieces at the very start and not just let them sit in their correct places on the board. You can basically just click each piece 1 by 1 and not even do the jigsaws (easy achievements basically). It could also be a bit confusing to some when it just sits there. I think it being complete at the start is cool, but yeah defo auto-shuffle after a few seconds. - Needs a tad bit more room around the board to lay out your pieces, there's *just* not enough space for all pieces on the biggest size jigsaws. - As others have mentioned (and I'm not sure why it hasn't been fixed?), on the left hand side there's a pretty massive area where you can't move pieces from. So they're basically stuck unless you shuffle - which as you can guess, just puts different pieces in that area. You basically have to let them sit there until the end and keep shuffling until they're not in that area so you can actually move/place them. I got used to it after a while but it's a silly bug that could be easily fixed. Overall the game is playable as a jigsaw game with great pictures and cute story. Defo recommend (unless the above things are a game-breaker for you).
Kombi Travels is a jigsaw puzzle game about a very long road trip. Beat the 'Kid' and 'Relax' modes in 2.2 hours (it'll take a lot longer to do the modes higher than that) using a mouse. Difficulty depends on what mode you set it at. - If life's got you stressing out and in dire need of a break, this'd be a good game for that. It's relaxing and pleasant to look at. - There are 6 picture levels, with two (or more) bonus mini levels. - There are 5 challenge modes per level. - Each picture, once finished, has more to explore and admire beyond its borders. You can zoom in, zoom out, and take a photo of the pictures once completed. - You can change the background outside of the border to see all puzzle pieces or if one color is too hard on your eyes. This is very nice. Thank you. - The couple driving the van go places and see things. Each pic is different and there's enough variety to make the trip (and the puzzles) worthwhile. - The music is nice and the pieces make a sound every time you grab and place them. However I had a weird issue with the music not starting until halfway into some puzzles, or the music was oddly quiet. Going to assume this is a temporary glitch because the developers have been on top of fixing bugs in the community forums. - Sometimes I had a hard time grabbing a piece on the middle-to-upper left side. I think it's related to the pull out volume menu on the left side phantom blocking the pieces. Being stubborn enough helps, and sometimes I could click and drag the pieces just outside of them So that was a weird bug but negotiable. Vaguely remember having this problem with other games from the same developer, too. If you're stressed out, like jigsaw puzzles, or like long distance road trips, Kombi Travels is a good game for you. It's entirely worth 2 bucks and there are plenty of modes to piece together. Vroom!
The game has bugs that really annoy me. There is a quadrant on the left hand side where the pieces become locked and cannot be moved. The only fix for this is clicking to mix the pieces which also wipes the unfixed pieces on the picture board you were keeping. Kids mode shows black around the piece image at the square. Needs another middle colour on the board for piece finding. The take 7 pictures achievement appears broken. Fix all that and I would definitely say buy this game.
A very beautiful game with a nostalgic feeling about it! I highly recommend this game for the jigsaw lovers.
I feel like I'm leaving far away even without leaving home! I even miss home!
It was a nice try. This is not really a good puzzle game, since the missing puzzling-techniques are kinda annoying and the puzzles are boring. A+ for effort though!
I really enjoyed playing this game. Since jigsaw games is something I like playing that helps me feel relaxed. And very helpful when my mental health isn't feeling good.
So it is a cute game, it really is. BUT There are some things that ruin the enjoyment for me. First there are some key puzzling mechanics . You can only lock in pieces if they are on the correct spot of the board. There is also a spot on the left that if the puzzle pieces are there they are unable to be moved (until you inevitably shuffle the pieces.. but if you have pieces sorted and not locked in, they go back to the edge all mixed up.
No windowed mode. I don't know if I'm just missing something or what, but alt+enter doesn't work. Can't even force it through my GPU utility. I don't need nor want this to be full screen on my 34in Ultrawide...
Wonderfully relaxing puzzle with good mechanics and beautiful, warm, soft art and music. I love the theme and the story it tells, it makes me want to jump in my car and go somewhere. I have experienced just one problem in that the top left edge (where the pieces are laid before completion) is a little sticky sometimes and won't release the pieces. It requires me to rearrange and then they become available. Highly recommended for those who like jigsaw puzzle games.
