Kitty's Last Adventure

[h2]I have never, ever, cried from a game. I read all of two sentences and bawled my eyes out while I was live and that was even before I hit "Play"[/h2] Kitty's Last Adventure is an emotional project for the dev and it shows. It's a passion project, one which implores the gamer to empathize. On top of it all, everything is hand-drawn in an age where even triple-A studios are using AI, giving us a beautiful piece of gaming that's absolutely delightful to play. As a fan of bullet-heaven titles, this was right up my alley with a unique skill-tree system, permanently upgradeable bonuses as well as 20 unique and cute cats to play as. The power-ups and their evolutions also begs you to replay the 3 worlds over and over. Some of the biggest things about this game is how it differs from most other "survivor" titles: -The worlds/stages are infinite in scale and do not loop! The enemies do not teleport! -A run is 3 worlds long, and go from one to the next -The power-ups belong to "family" trees, which yields additional boosts if you specialize -20 Kitties with cutest meows! [i]The only negative for me was how it took me a long time to adjust to the visuals and solely focus on the cat I'm playing vs my surroundings. The outlines on each of the enemies are white (think cutouts, since they're hand drawn), which can overlap and create visual chaos until you've adjusted to it.
