Очень кривой платформер
cool
Not that bad. Movement has too much intertia to be comfortable and I managed to get stuck behind a rock in level 18 multiple time - this should get fixed. Other than that, it's kind of ok.
真他媽好玩,我已經破了15小時才通關,超級超值!!!!!!!!
Don't waste your time Bad and irritating platforming, boring bosses (oh, sorry, it's just one boss we shold defeat 3 times), the only good sing is design - oh wait, water levels with that floating 3D effect... All in all, piece of trash, sorry
好评,但似乎不值这个价 这款游戏操作起来很“滑” 但同时说明,它很有特色 通关之后的喜悦感还是很强的
Kings and Pigs is a 2D pixel-art platformer developed and published by Piece Of Voxel that embraces a lighthearted fantasy premise built around a comical conflict between royalty and rebellious swine. Players step into the role of a king whose lands have been overtaken by mischievous pigs that have plundered treasure and disrupted the peace of the kingdom. Framed as a whimsical quest for restitution, the game sends players across a series of side-scrolling levels to reclaim stolen riches and restore order. While the narrative setup is simple and intentionally playful, it provides a clear motivation that carries the player from stage to stage. The gameplay follows traditional platforming conventions. Movement revolves around running, jumping, and attacking while navigating horizontally structured levels filled with enemies and environmental hazards. Combat is straightforward, relying on basic attacks to defeat pig adversaries and other obstacles encountered along the way. The mechanics are easy to grasp, making the game accessible to newcomers and casual players. However, the simplicity of the control scheme also means that the overall gameplay depth remains limited. There are few advanced mechanics or layered systems introduced as the game progresses. Visually, Kings and Pigs adopts a retro-inspired pixel-art style that evokes classic 16-bit platformers. Characters and environments are rendered with bold colors and blocky sprites, creating a nostalgic aesthetic that aligns with many indie platformers. While the art direction captures a certain charm, the presentation remains modest and functional rather than visually groundbreaking. Backgrounds provide variety across different stages, but the environments do not significantly evolve in complexity or detail as the adventure unfolds. One of the game’s notable features is its local cooperative mode, which allows two players to tackle levels together. This shared experience adds a social dimension to the platforming formula, enabling friends to coordinate jumps and combat side by side. Cooperative play can enhance enjoyment, especially for players looking for a casual couch co-op experience. However, the cooperative mechanics themselves do not extend beyond shared progression; there are no deeply integrated teamwork systems or puzzle elements that require intricate collaboration. As the game advances, level design maintains a consistent structure. Stages present familiar patterns of enemy placement, platform arrangements, and collectible items. While this consistency keeps the game approachable, it can also contribute to a sense of repetition. The difficulty curve does not dramatically escalate, and new gameplay elements are introduced sparingly. For some players, this results in a relaxed and straightforward experience. For others, it may feel lacking in challenge or innovation. In terms of polish, Kings and Pigs reflects its small-scale indie origins. Controls are serviceable but may lack the responsiveness expected from more refined platformers. The game does not incorporate expansive progression systems, branching paths, or intricate boss encounters that significantly differentiate stages. Its scope remains contained, focusing primarily on delivering a basic platforming loop from beginning to end. Ultimately, Kings and Pigs offers a simple, retro-styled platforming adventure best suited for players seeking a light and undemanding experience. Its nostalgic aesthetic and local cooperative option provide moments of charm, especially when enjoyed with a second player. However, the limited mechanical depth and repetitive level structure may restrict its appeal for those seeking more dynamic or polished platforming experiences. As a modest indie effort, it captures the fundamentals of classic side-scrolling gameplay without substantially expanding upon them. Rating: 5/10
