Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Kiln is a pottery power-fantasy that celebrates both Creativity and Destruction: the pleasure that comes from both making beautiful things, and then smashing those things to smithereens. Create your pot, grab your friends, and join a team of colorful spirits who face off against one another in online arenas, where the ceramic creations you sculpt on a pottery wheel become the bodies you bring into battle.
The shape of your pots affect your attributes and your play-style. Will you be big, or small? Wide, or tall? Will you make a plate, a jug, a cup or a bowl?
There are a multitude of different sizes and combinations to discover, each with unique abilities and attacks, along with new and surprising ways to play. Work together to find the best combination of pots and play-styles to break through enemy lines, and collect enough water to douse the flames of the enemy’s kiln — Does your team have what it takes to shape and smash your way to victory? As the battlefield becomes strewn with the shattered fragments of friend and foes alike, your brawling skills and some great teamwork will be required to assure victory.
Become a Master Potter – Manipulate realistic clay to craft and decorate in an immersive pottery wheel experience featuring a variety of tools and techniques.
After the battle is won, head to The Wedge to practice your pottery prowess, decorate your pots to make them yours, then share your creations with others (and admire their handiwork, too).
Create and Destroy Together! Making pots and breaking pots are both better with friends. Hang out, experiment with clay and share what you make, or jump right into multiplayer battles and start swinging!

The impression I get, is that this has been designed as an Xbox game-pass game; it feels pretty awkward here on Steam, and on PC in-general. As a game-pass game, I think it's chill; A novel game, make cool pots, look at the pretty graphics, and participate in some light-hearted pvp. For me, it lends itself to random and mostly brief play-sessions. Something you play every now and then for the hell of it. If you were to play a lot of this game, I think you'd have a bad-time; Any kind of competitive play and it can easily become frustrating. Very easy to pick-up, and it has an inherit draw; Who doesn't want to make their own pot? Playing this reminds me of games for gold and the arcade, back on Xbox-live. It's in that area, kinda like a Wii game, but different. It seems consistent with Microsoft, historical and current, in where they seem to position the Xbox in the gaming market. As a Steam-game, or just a PC-game in general; When I first saw this game it confused me very badly. It seemed insane to me, that this game had been made in current-year, and this was why I bought it; I expected the game to die in 3 months or less. It didn't make sense to me, that they decided to make this, until game-pass came to mind. So lets enter that frame-of-mind for a moment, to leverage my point. Imagine this: - Casual MOBA "party" game - £15.99 per copy - Hardware requirements are high-end - On release their "Roadmap" was 4 weeks in length + (And was only detailing plans for new maps and cosmetics) - No single-player content or alternative modes of play - Game is only played through match-making Imagine trying to convince 7 other people (it's a 4v4 game) to get a MOBA party-game (that they can't even run), where everyone has to pay £15.99 for their individual copy. The only justification of purchase in this imagined scenario is multiplayer (there's no single player, or alternative modes, for you to play). And the game is completely done through match-making; If it were to die, you could only play with people that you somehow convinced to buy it. There is a question of if even that would work-out too, it's multiplayer only, so you have to consider that it might rely on some infrastructure that they have to pay for (so if it were to die, they could be inclined to stop maintaining that infrastructure). I don't know how the multiplayer or the match-making works, and I don't care to know. - (It could be fully client-side, peer-to-peer) - (But it could also be that, yes, there's a server, that they're paying for, running it) (With regards to hardware, my PC is pretty high-end, so the game runs; When I'm playing, the darn thing will start pumping my room full of heat like there's no tomorrow) Hopefully you have an understanding of why this game seemed insane to me, thinking of it as a PC exclusive. But you throw game-pass in, and many of these problems disappear. The threat of the game dying is far less, because random people will constantly be picking it up and just trying it out. You don't have to convince people to buy it. Justification of purchase doesn't exist. You don't have the hardware problem (well kind-of), because everyone has console hardware. And it being fully match-making based plays pretty-well into the convenience factor of game-pass. (I think it fits into the UX optimised, anyone can play, Wii type-deal; You just hit the play button). So, I think this game is alright. As a Double-fine game, it's a bit boring to not see them do something bigger, and more interesting. But I don't mind it. You can make pretty pots, and roll them around. That's good enough for game-pass, and I think that's good enough for me.

Pretty cute game so far! Wasn't sure about the gameplay loop at first but I think it works. Really makes me wanna try making pottery in real life. I do wish there was a little bit more organized ways of decorating though. I wanna be able to dip the top part perfectly!!
I usually wait until I've put a lot of hours into a game and earned all of its achievements before I come here to write a review, but this time I just couldn't hold myself back. I was having fun within the first few minutes of this brawler. The colorful art style, the clever idea of playing as a pot that fills with water, the constant tradeoff between your health and your water capacity, and the chaos of smashing your opponents while defending your own KiLN and trying to extinguish theirs... it's just ridiculously fun. I can only imagine how much better this would be with a full group of friends. I'm already having an absolute blast playing with complete strangers, so I can see this becoming one of those games that creates unforgettable moments with people you know. It's honestly heartbreaking that this game never got the recognition it deserved. The gameplay is creative, charming, and genuinely addictive. If anything, the publisher failed to give it the marketing push it needed. And finally... shame on Microsoft for shutting down the talented studio behind this adorable little gem. They deserved so much better.
Lots of fun. Love how you sculpt your clay character as you like, and it affects the character performance. Fun quick games. If you're a Splatoon fan, this might be just right for you.
good
Kiln has been a blast to play, it has an engaging loop that feels fresh. It reminds me of Splatoon’s innovation of a PvP game with a new take that doesn’t involve just shooting. Highly recommended and hope the game’s community grows.
Badly needs ranked play other wise it feels really unbalanced still fun though
Received for free from Xbox as a review copy, would still like a refund.
Kiln is a cracking game, if you like splatoon you'll probably enjoy it, you have to quench the other team kiln before they quench yours, you can create 3 different sized pots all having different skills, large pots are great for defending and pack a punch just slow for mobility , medium a good all rounder, small pots are great for speed but carry the lest water of the other two. you get to be creative with your pots as well great game for pvp short enough so there no time to get frustrated just simple fun
A very in depth pottery making simulator disguised as a pretty fun little multiplayer game. It was fun to craft my pots and I was very impressed at how many I could make, their are 8 different pot types and each have 3 different gameplay types. It's all wrapped up in Double Fine's charm and awesome art style. I'd say play this one if you want a fun time while it still has a very active player base.
