Kick Ass Commandos

Pretty nice top down shooter inspired by classic 80s action movies and arcade shooters with catchy gameplay and beautiful pixelart graphics. Where's the sequel?!

Very fun!!!

This is a 2D top down retro pixel twin-stick style shmup with an over-the-top gore/macho action hero theme. The game features a gimmick where you increase your firepower by freeing captured soldiers who join you after you shoot through their cages. This would be an okay kind of game for $1-2 if it had contemporary graphics but the game instead features pixel "art" as a substitute, so it looks pretty ugly by 2020 standards. Instead they're charging $14.50 which is an insane price for a retro arcade style ripoff game that's routinely shoveled into bundles. The same kind of money would get you a decent modern game like Borderlands, so it's impossible to recommend this.

A.I. units are braindead and die way too easily. You have to grind to get anywhere, which defeats the purpose of an arcade-like experience.

Pure heavy metal godlike soundtrack, simple but fast paced non-stop action gameplay and pure carnage!!! This is a fun game! By far the greatest things are the soundtrack and gameplay! Graphics are nice and do the job. But seriously, soundtrack is so good that I will listen to it outside the game as a metal album itself. Perfect for this game! So cool and varied with so much melodies and riffs to memorize!!!! The gameplay here is simple just WASD and left click button. That's it. This makes the game work so well. I played this intense game to simply have a blast and no thinking time and it delivered in an excelent way. There are a lot of levels and it took me 12 hours to finished one full playthrought in "Extreme" difficulty, the second hardest one. Maybe I could finish it in less time but it got really hard on the final part of act 3 and I had to go back and forth between acts to gain enough experience and improve my stats. Overall, despite somes levels being a little bit unfair or having lot of difficulty jumps, this is an awesome game. You want an indie pure action gameplay with blood, explosions, killing and all of this with the most amazing metal ost? Then look no further than this. Great game to get out the stress and have so much fun not thinking to much what and how you're playing. Solid solid fun 8/10! Give this action brutal carnage metal glory a solid try! You will not regret it!

Oh, I liked this game since the first mission, really! It reminds me Guerilla Wars on NES. I played 3 missions, I'm thrilled, but I can't continue because I can't stand camera shaking. Every second of the game something's blowing up, firing, and all these actions are accompanied by camera shaking. There is no option to reduce or disable it. Also, gamepad doesn't work, only left stick is working, it's definetelly a technical bug. I don't really want to play it with mouse and keyboard. If these issues will ever be fixed, I change my recommendation.

Juego de tiritos con musicote que para pasar el rato esta bastante bien. Entras solo en la mision, vas rescantando soldaditos y te haces tu equipo de mercenarios reshulones y vas dando mas cera que el numero 5 y el numero de 7 de argentina en el mundial. Nota: 7 de 10.
