é um joguinho bem curtinho mas é uma experiência bem terapêutica e melancólica. ''a vida é cheia de problemas mas todos são possíveis de resolver com motivação''
A very short experience, but straight to the point in expressing one's ugly internal struggles, while also offering a glimmer of hope.
The atmosphere is surreal, and suffocating. The world feels like a dream you shouldn’t be in, and the soundtrack adds a steady drip of dread to every step. The demons are the real highlight: no jump-scares, no loud threats - just quiet, unsettling reflections of the things you'd rather avoid thinking about at 3 AM. They don’t try to frighten you - they recognize you.. and that familiarity is far more disturbing. The game is extremely short, but it lands with weight. If you’ve ever lived with anxiety, loneliness, or any inner chaos, the story hits close to home. A beautifully haunting little gut punch - brief, sharp, and hard to shake. Worth every minute.
Keep in Mind: Remastered by Little Moth Games and published by Akupara Games is a deeply emotional and thought-provoking psychological adventure that explores the harrowing realities of mental illness and personal struggle. This remastered edition builds upon the original game’s foundation by enhancing its visuals, audio, and overall presentation, delivering a more polished and immersive experience. The game centers on Jonas, a man battling alcoholism and depression, who becomes trapped in a surreal and nightmarish mirror world. This shadow realm is filled with unsettling creatures and haunting environments that serve as metaphors for Jonas’s inner demons and fractured mental state. As players guide Jonas through this abstract landscape, the journey evolves into a profound exploration of self-awareness, pain, and the difficult path toward healing. The gameplay of Keep in Mind: Remastered strips away unnecessary complexity, focusing instead on emotional storytelling and atmosphere. Rather than relying on intense action or puzzles, the game invites players to slowly navigate its evocative environments and confront symbolic monsters that personify different aspects of Jonas’s trauma. The deliberate pacing and minimal mechanics encourage reflection and empathy, allowing players to immerse themselves in Jonas’s psychological struggle. This contemplative approach emphasizes the game's themes without overwhelming the player, making the emotional weight of each moment more impactful. Visually, the game employs a pixel art style that expertly balances simplicity with haunting detail. The muted color palette and sharp contrasts contribute to a somber and oppressive mood that mirrors Jonas’s mental state. The environments are stark yet expressive, often feeling claustrophobic or surreal, which intensifies the sense of being lost within one’s own mind. The grotesque and symbolic creatures Jonas encounters are designed to evoke unease and reflection, each one representing a different facet of mental anguish. The remastered version sharpens these visuals, making the world more vivid and immersive while maintaining the artistic integrity of the original. Complementing the visuals is a haunting soundtrack composed specifically for this edition, featuring ambient melodies that heighten the emotional resonance and underscore the game’s somber tone. Critically, Keep in Mind: Remastered has garnered praise for its sensitive and thoughtful portrayal of mental health struggles. Players have expressed appreciation for the game’s ability to articulate feelings of despair, confusion, and hope in a way that feels both authentic and respectful. The short runtime, typically under half an hour, is often noted, but many argue that the game's concise narrative is its strength—each moment is carefully crafted to leave a lasting impression. While the experience is brief, it is emotionally dense, encouraging players to revisit the game or contemplate its themes long after completion. Some players have also highlighted the game’s potential as a therapeutic tool, using its narrative to better understand their own mental health challenges. In summary, Keep in Mind: Remastered is a powerful example of how video games can transcend entertainment to become vehicles for empathy and introspection. Its minimalist gameplay, combined with evocative art and a poignant story, creates an intimate experience that resonates deeply with anyone who has faced inner turmoil. The game challenges players to confront difficult emotions through a unique and symbolic lens, offering not just a narrative but an emotional journey. For those seeking a game that explores mental health with nuance and artistry, Keep in Mind: Remastered is a meaningful and memorable experience that lingers in the mind and heart. Rating: 7/10
Wont lie, it made me cry. "You were love once, and you still are." Bro. Sobbing. Its definitely a game targeting a specific audience and I think it does well trying to reach out to them. The sound design was top tier also love the designs of the lil creatures. I do wish it was longer tho, make it so that there were multiple acts of the game one with the contents of the game, the next one focusing on the recovery, and maybe like a short epilogue where Jonas gets through it. Showing that hes worked hard for his happiness or that getting better isnt a linear path. Felt like they couldve explored it more but nevertheless, it was a pretty solid game.
