Very bad, the first time I got the game it was in early release stages and was bad, so I uninstall and come back a few months later, its still just as bad. Blade frequently glitchs through tatami, blade angle is often very inaccurate, unless you are running on a NASA computer good luck enjoying this game.
It's pretty meh. I really wanted to like this game but something about the physics of the sword just doesn't translate well to an index controller. YMMV, and I really hate to give this game a negative review, but I just honestly didn't enjoy it.
Sword physics are good and feels reasonably realistic. However, the game is still in early access and there has been no word from the developer in several years. In addition, there are some view centering issues with Oculus HMD's that severely impacts gameplay. So sadly, another thumbs down for abandonware. :/
saw this game on the store and the videos looked like a decent vr game. it was on sale so I got it. this game is just frustrating for me. I'm 6 feet tall and have decent arm length, but when I tried the tatami poles I found that I wasn't able to cut the poles by swinging my arm without taking a full step towards the pole when the poles can appear all around you which gets frustrating. then there's the fruit. granted the fruit are thrown towards you which makes reach a non-issue, but when I cut one fruit and then the edge of my blade bounces the second and third fruits across the room, and I haven't slowed my swing down, I'm going to get frustrated. to anyone who reads this review: the game isn't worth your time. there's only a small amount of content and what the game does have is poorly designed and buggy. the only reason you might buy this game is if you buy it solely for the aesthetics, which are the games only redeeming quality, but if you want a game and not art then go buy something like fruit ninja vr. heck even if you want art you can easily find better than this on the steam store.
I was skeptical at first due to those many bad reviews but being the game at 1'59€ I was ready to accept some lack of content. For the price, the game could be fine for me as I was looking for some new cardio experiences. For a very soft training it can do the job if you are committed to move a bit more than necessary. The big BUT is the tracking which never has been an issue with other games. I don't know why but there is something that really doesn't work here and it's not just my lack of skill, I'm afraid. I'll probably test it a second a time at least, but this first time has been very frustating, seeing how unaccurate the game feels to be with htc vive wands. Since there's not even support to this game, I'd say it doesn't even worth 1'59€. SADLY!
As much as I tried to enjoy this game, It's not really my thing. Don't get me wrong, it is a pretty well made solid VR game. And it feels accurate when slashing down your virtual sword. There are plenty of different modusses to discover and to enjoy. It feels good to slice down fruit and to avoid the bombs, but it also takes quite some armstrength (if you consider playing longer than 15mins) Or maybe it is a good sport game to train your arms. Again, not really my kind of game, but I will upvote this game for being a solid VR sim game. Also idled a bit for the Steam VR prop item.
If you like swinging swords around this is a great game to zen out to, plus it's a hell of a workout. Just make sure you play on lower graphical settings as the low fps or lag can mess with the cutting. Solid purchase for the price.
