About

Every human has a Kasama, a dream-avatar that reflects their soul.
In Kasama: The Awakening, you’ll step into the dreamworld as Orion, a spirit warrior on a quiet quest through the fading realm of Kastania.
Uncover hidden truths, face your fears, and help restore balance to a world teetering between light and shadow.
This is a short, heartfelt journey, perfect for players who love story-rich games like Journey, Inside, or Oxenfree.
Will you dare to dream... and face the night with them?
Long ago, a sacred chestnut tree gave life to three mythical beings, protectors of the dreamworld and guides of the human soul:
• Ipno – the firstborn, guardian of restful sleep for all living things.
• Morpheo – the middle child, who grants the power to dream and glimpse other realities.
• Phao – the youngest, who wakes beings from dreams and helps them carry meaning into the real world.
But when the chestnuts that sustain this balance begin to vanish, the Kasamas grow weaker... and darkness creeps in.

Walk through floating forests, forgotten ruins, and shimmering dreamscapes as you piece together Kastania’s lost history.
Every place you visit reflects a feeling, a memory, or a fear, both personal and ancient.

Not all dreams are peaceful.
Some hold sorrow. Some conceal truths. Some fight back.
But only by facing them can you restore what was lost.
Kasama: The Awakening is the first chapter in a cinematic, episodic saga, built for one-night play sessions that leave a lasting impression.

This game just released yesterday, and I think the game has a lot of potential. However, the first chapter feels extremely short.
What I liked:

The atmosphere is fantastic, really immersive.
The sound design is top-notch and adds a lot to the experience.
The nightmare section is particularly well done and adds a compelling layer to the game. I especially love the corruption-clearing effect, it's beautifully executed. In fact, that effect is how I discovered this game, having seen it featured on 80.lv!

What could be improved:

The main character’s design feels a bit odd, especially the things on it's head. They take up a lot of screen space without adding much, and overall, the design comes off as strange.
Some menus have bugs. For example, at the end screen, pressing Escape brings up the options menu (with Main Menu and Quit), but you can’t interact with anything because the end screen overlay is on top (I suppose) so to quit I had to alt+f4.
Also, I was curious about the possibility of losing during the nightmare chapter, but there’s a minor bug there too, the mouse cursor is not visible, making it hard to click “retry”. Short cute thing. Very Kawaii look, Wonder what the devs are planning for.
TLDR: but overall, I really liked it! it might be super short and basic form a gameplay perspective, but for what this game is i really enjoyed it, Art wise its very cute/charming. Although its short I found the narrative and vibes interesting and well worth trying, especially as its free id say its definitely worth giving a chance! Hopefully the devs will be able to keep working on this project and expand on what’s here :)
So there I was blasting through my discovery queue at the speed of light and this game pops up in my peripheral. I'm like, hol' up. I put it in reverse like Terry and peep that ♥♥♥♥. The screenshots have this graphic style that made me really want to see them in motion, so I decided to download this sumna' bi' and take a gander at it myself because these reviews didn't tell me sheet. It starts out all cute and mystical. Like they even have a poem at the beginning with a rhyme and everything. It made me cringe super hard. I was like this gotta be some game made by a poor disabled kid that lives in his grandma's basement. It has that made in Little Big Planet or Dream feel to it. And by god are the animations weird. The character's head moves so unnatural and the tenticles clip through everything. But their eyes, dawg. THEIR EYES!!! What the flip. An NPC was just staring at me and I swear he was trying to seduce me or something. This big G says he can put me to sleep so I can gather the acorns again in my sleep. WHAAAAAT?! Who in their right mind would let a guy let alone an NPC with creepy ass eyes do that to you? Like, c'mon, girl. Have some survival insticts. But shi', she did it anyways!!! And then chapter 2 starts. And you were expecting this colorful dream world and, ah hell nah, it was pitch black as a muh fuh and this other creepy dood named Morpheo was talking to me. I have no idea what was going on, but it just kept getting weirder and weirder. And I'm pretty sure I joined a cult or something. 10/10
Hear me out
seems like its meant to be episodic though what was was interesting kinda psychological
Interesting concept, though the introduction felt a little rushed. As a player that likes to explore worlds and have lots of lore detailed this was a little disappointing. Either way, really beautiful looking game and hooking story so far!
its great I highly recommend anyone to play it
Loved it, want the full game with more levels. More adventures
