Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content.
"Horror Family|恐怖家族 - Flight" is a departure from your usual first person jumpscare horror asset flip because the developer used a bunch of AI slop code because they didn't know how to program properly. Which, wow, resulted in garbage that doesn't work well and was widely ignored by gamers on Steam. You're on a plane, you get jumpscared, yawn. The quality of the assets is particularly low, so maybe they aren't flipped, but the use of AI slop in anything is never acceptable. It's an insult to genuine developers and to gamers and to everyone in the industry. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets and code usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 8 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

This game was really creepy, suspenful and really game me a shock when Mr No Skin showed up. Highly recommended to play alone in the dark past midnight with headphones on.

I can't really recommend this, but I can't NOT recommend it fully either... It's got a bit of atmosphere, but it's essentially walking through the same 3 sections of an airplane 5 times. Out of the -we'll say 5 total "scares" - one got me for being an almost literal jump scare, and one was a bit creepy by setting up more atmospheric feeling with a certain repeating texture. Even the first time you see the "monster" was more of a joke due to how it loaded in and just... standing there. Finally, the ending was also a bit of a joke as the creature just popped in on top of me while I thought I was investigating something that was actually building to a better creep factor. Overall: very rough, but made by 1 person using asset flips and ChatGPT, so you can't expect much. There's just better things out there besides a slightly spooky asset flip. Also, the news report of, "there was a heckin' spooky murder where they were murdered so hard their genitals got murdered too! AND THEIR SKIN WAS GONE!!! BE SCARED," was just laughably forced.
The game creates a moody and slightly creepy atmosphere but with absolutely no pay-off. It's okay for a short little horror game but the story itself is very underwhelming and fails to deliver anything memorable. If you're a fan of this style of horror game then give it a shot (it's free after all). But for me I feel like this could've used more time in the oven
You play as an IT assistant aboard a claustrophobic plane. Your main objective is to reach the cockpit, but you're trapped in a loop — and with each repetition, things become increasingly strange and unsettling. It's clearly a low-budget game, even incorporating AI into parts of its development. Despite that, there's thoughtful design behind the experience. The atmosphere is creepy, the jumpscares are good, and the yellow filter gives the game a some charm and personality. Horror Family Flight is extremely short, and there isn’t much to do beyond walking, as it functions as a walking simulator. Still, the experience is really nice, and leaves you craving for more.
