cute game ,i think the bird is a puffin ,not sure. You have to guide your birdie home avoiding obstacles and enemies on the way. Controls can adjusted in the options menu. It has an odd setup with separate key for jump left and jump right which might cause some confusion until you get used to it. I would think young kids might enjoy this due to the soft pastel graphics and nice background music. Though i have already died died a few times after getting snagged by one of the enemies ,so it does require a fair bit of skill with the key presses until you get used to the gameplay . A good little game with pleasing on the eye graphics ,thumbs up from me.
I wanted to love this game so badly. It has so much going for it — absurdly cute graphics, fun level design, great music. But the controls were a massive nightmare and the levels were repetitive. I hemmed and hawed a lot about whether to rec this or not and ultimately put it here because I did spend so much time frustrated, but it was also enjoyable, so…? IDK. If the issues that bothered me seem minor to you, you’ll probably enjoy it and should pick it up next time it’s on sale. It’s hard to explain the problems with the controls. You can only jump a certain distance, and you can’t move while you’re in the air. This makes the precise jumping platforming requires impossible. On top of that, sometimes when you hit a wall you turn and face the other direction, and sometimes you don’t, and I couldn’t quite figure out when each happened. So you’d try to chain jump and just end up spinning and going back the way you came, usually dying. And even once I started to get used to the jump distance, I found it absurdly frustrating to have to line myself up just right (which sometimes was impossible) and then press A and cross my fingers. I also found that the controls were not sensitive enough to detect tiny movements back and forth, so a lot of time I’d try to line up a jump over and over and over only to discover that it was almost impossible to get to the exact spot I needed to be in. Worse still, the game was bad at indicating what was coming up — I often found myself getting into a rhythm only to be killed by a baddie just offscreen that there was no way I could have anticipated. This is the worst kind of difficultly in a platformer. But even once I got used to that and got through the first set of levels, I was disappointed to find the other three locked level sets were just the same ones with fewer checkpoints and/or more baddies. So the game was actually only 25% as big as I thought it was, which was super disappointing. Yet I kept playing it. There’s something oddly relaxing about it right up until it gets frustrating. I found myself playing in 10-minute spurts — I’d clear a level, hit a point I couldn’t get past for 5 minutes, quit in frustration, do something else for an hour, and then start over. The game had all the elements of something I liked, but just couldn’t follow through. And it’s so sad, because I want it to work so badly, but ultimately it just couldn’t get its ♥♥♥♥ together for long enough.

Karma Miwa is a very nice & simple platform game. All you got to do is to guide the bird home (end of level) through some obstacles & enemies. Controls are good & controllers are supported. Graphics and soundtrack are just good and fit the game. All in all the game is fun to play, colorful, and enjoyable.
I wanted to like this game, but I find the game itself to be buggy and laggy. The music is also particuarly grating, and I have only been able to "play" for 8 minutes. The lack of being able to play in a windowed mode or not even being able to alt-tab is unfortunate.
Karma Miwa is a new take on the typical platformer games as it keeps track on the number of steps as well as the time taken to complete the level. Controls take some time to get used to as you are restricted from doing stationary jumps which means that you have to plan your moves. Accuracy is of utmost importance as if you missed a step it could easily lead you to your death. Traps are well placed, you may have to play the map several times to know and learn where they are placed. BGM is soothing and this game will definitely appeal to the young as well. 7/10

Wertung:
4/10 Atmosphäre -/10 Story 3/10 Grafik 3/10 Sound 3/10 Spielmechanik 3/10 Balancing 3/10 Spielspass
Fazit:
Hebt nicht ab, der Vogel.
[b]3/10 Gesamtwertung
A 2d platformer with a simple control scheme that makes for a surprisingly good challenge. The player moves forward by walking or jumping on a fixed arc ala Ghosts n Goblins on the classic "get hit twice and lost a life" bit from Mario and... Ghosts n Goblins... requiring the player to look ahead of them and plan their route rather than just run through everything. And with no other means of self-defense, it's like a pacifist run of Ghosts n Goblins, except all the hazards are in the same exact spot each time you try so there's no random luck; just patience and memorization. The graphics are extremely soothing and the in-game BGM sounds like it's straight from a SNES game by Jaleco. Really, it has that same scheme of beeps and boops and MIDI instruments that were unique to the SNES. Play "Battle Master" or one of the Sailor Moon SNES games after playing this. Fun fact! The Capcom Play System 1 aracade cabinets (Final Fight, Street Fighter II), Sharp x68K and Sega Genesis all had Yamaha-made sound chips but Nintendo made their own! ... oh right, reviewing this game. The music is cheerful and calming (bc SNES tunes) and goes great with the soothing sunset backdrop and mind-clearing game. A great game for relaxing at the end of a day of work, or to entertain the kids. Except for that giant fish with lots of teeth, or the skeleton-ghost-toucan when the player loses a life. 2 spooky!
