очень понравился стиль ачивок и стиль перса самого, автор умеет в пиксельную стилистику, за что респектос
It was quite difficult to play, oddly enough, you need to keep up quickly before you are killed. But the complexity only adds interest to the game and that's good. While on sale, I advise you to take
Pretty challenging gameplay, but interesting in its idea of a game. In it you have to kill people while fighting for a powerful alien.

Kalzoon, a thrilling 2D shooter, pits you as the last of the mighty Krim creatures against ruthless invaders. Unleash your superpowers, face challenging enemies and epic bosses, and seek vengeance to reclaim your planet. Hellionkin's graphics add to the excitement!
Almost manages to be interactive, but only fun as a one off if you got it for cheap. Objectives spawn randomly in your face so you just have to wait and hope they spawn in areas with no enemies and enemies AI are bare bone but 20 guys shooting fast will still pose a challenge, but nothing fun or entertaining either.
Sorry, can't recommend this, not even for 0,49€.

No explanations of any of the collectibles.
No explanations, period.
No Story
No controller support (although to be fair they disclose that on the page).
Game is rather random. Enemies occasionally literally spawn where you are, so you lose health.
The music that you hear in the trailer is pretty nice, but when you actually play, you'll find that the music is very random and all over the place (one time I played, the game played strange piano music!). No common theme or vibe at all. Complete absence of any direction. Most likely bought in a bulk random assortment soundtrack bundle from a digital store like humble, or something.
I played less than 20 minutes and I feel like I have seen everything the game will ever offer. And I can't see myself doing that for a single minute longer.
Kalzoon is a side-scrolling action game developed by 8BITLAB and published by RAMRISK that proudly wears its retro inspirations on its sleeve. Built around classic run-and-gun mechanics and pixel-art aesthetics, the game tells the story of a lone survivor from the Kalzoon species whose homeworld has fallen under human occupation. Driven by revenge and the hope of reclaiming his people's legacy, the protagonist embarks on a dangerous journey across the planet Krim in search of a powerful experimental weapon capable of turning the tide of the conflict. It is a familiar science-fiction setup, but one that serves its purpose well by providing players with a clear motivation from beginning to end. The game's greatest strength lies in its commitment to old-school design principles. Kalzoon wastes little time introducing its mechanics, placing players directly into hostile environments filled with enemy soldiers, hazards, and hidden secrets. Movement feels responsive, and combat remains consistently engaging thanks to a steady stream of encounters that encourage quick reactions and careful positioning. Rather than overwhelming players with complicated systems, the game focuses on delivering a straightforward experience centered on exploration and action. This simplicity gives Kalzoon an immediate charm, especially for players who grew up with classic platform shooters from earlier gaming generations. Exploration also plays an important role throughout the adventure. Levels are more than simple corridors filled with enemies; they contain hidden areas and rewards that encourage players to venture off the main path. Searching for secrets adds an extra layer of engagement and helps the world feel more alive. The hunt for the legendary weapon developed by Kalzoon's scientists becomes an effective narrative hook, giving players a sense of progression as they push deeper into enemy-controlled territory. While the story remains minimalistic, it successfully complements the gameplay without distracting from the action. Visually, Kalzoon embraces pixel art with confidence. The environments showcase a variety of alien landscapes that reflect the devastation brought by war, while enemy designs and animations maintain a nostalgic appeal. The soundtrack similarly contributes to the experience with energetic compositions that keep the pace moving during firefights and exploration sequences. Although the production values are modest compared to larger independent titles, the presentation demonstrates a clear understanding of the atmosphere it aims to create. Every visual and audio element works together to capture the feeling of playing a forgotten arcade title that has been rediscovered for a modern audience. That said, Kalzoon is not without limitations. Players looking for extensive customization options, branching narratives, or highly varied gameplay systems may find the experience somewhat restrained. Its relatively focused scope means that it prioritizes consistency over ambition. However, this is also part of its appeal. The game never promises more than it intends to deliver, and its concise design allows it to remain enjoyable without overstaying its welcome. It succeeds by understanding its audience and providing a polished homage to the action games that inspired it. In the end, Kalzoon stands as a solid independent release that combines retro aesthetics, satisfying combat, and a simple but effective science-fiction premise. Its dedication to classic gameplay mechanics, coupled with enjoyable exploration and a memorable setting, makes it an easy recommendation for fans of old-school shooters. While it may not redefine the genre, it offers enough personality and entertainment value to justify the journey across the war-ravaged world of Krim. Rating: 6/10
В роли внеземного существа уничтожаем людишек захвативших нашу планету. Игра проста во всех смыслах. Ачивочки спасают.
