Kakuro, is straight-forward fun, and is known also as Cross Sums.
If you like number puzzles, especially Kakuro, then buy this game. If you don't like number puzzles, don't buy it!
It would be great if it had a shortcut for toggling memo mode for mouse-free play.

"Kakuro++" is a twist on the old deductive grid number puzzle game, basically resembling Sudoko-meet-Nonogram puzzling where you fill out a grid based on clues provided around the grid. As always, my cutting edge gaming rig was not intended to compete with the puzzle section of the newspaper. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. This game features very lacklustre minimalist "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is not so they can look at lazy, phoned-in half efforts like this. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Even as a free product, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 7 users, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time with this. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options. You can play these kinds of games for free in your web browser, so if you really want this experience, fire up Chrome.
A nice variety of puzzles here. The early levels are definitely easy, but give you skills for the later levels, which is helpful. It does feel like there is "repetitiveness" in the early puzzles, but the nuances are actually slightly unique which makes it enjoyable to learn pattern recognition.
