[h1]Peggle for the revolution[/h1] I found this one on Steam's indie game event, where it mixes comic-style visual novel with Peggle gameplay where the results help unlock your path choices throughout the story. The story follows Sam, a young man in a dystopic society trying to right a fatal mistake he made to get out of trouble with his billionaire boss. He'll deal with familiar faces and peculiar strangers by coming up with different solutions that is decided by the gameplay performance. The Peggle puzzles attempt to reflect the situations around action and dialogue thinking, so there's some fair variation on the challenges here. I don't click much with visual novels, so something had to be implemented to keep the story engaging. It's a bit hard coming back to the game when the flow leaves more to desire but at least the cast is distinguishing. Even the writing covers a few thought-provoking topics including social revolution, capitalism and solidarity. This indie game sticks out on combining two core gameplays to engage the player, for sure! For the sake of the engaging gameplay, I hope the devs get the dynamics more polished, in case of a possible sequel.

Pachinko - breakout - VN hybrid, break blocks to choose your own adventure type setup. The pacing and branching are kinda all over the place but the style and novelty are enough to carry it for the 2 or so hours an individual run takes to complete.

i mean i loved this game from the title screen but having the wherewithal to ask a player, "is there a BAD reason to join a revolution?" is what REALLY made me love this game.

Si ce n'était qu'un jeu de pachinko, il serait assez médiocre ; si ce n'était qu'un visual novel, il ne serait pas incroyable... Alors, pourquoi une évaluation positive ? Parce que la combinaison des deux fonctionne à merveille. Les jeux de pachinko permettent d'accomplir des actions avec plus ou moins de succès, d'ouvrir certains choix de dialogue. ça donne un côté "action" au visual novel, beaucoup plus de dynamisme que ce à quoi on est habitués. Quant à l'histoire, elle est sympathique, on sent le vécu de banlieue populaire ; sans pour autant que ça casse trois pattes à un canard, ça se suit bien.

It's Peggle with a story. The level design is pretty good, having to hit all pegs of a certain kind to unlock dialogue options provides a nice little challenge. The power-ups are varied and mostly have their uses, though you are likely to find one you like and stick to that for most of the game. The story is messy, but fun. You're a down-on-his-luck guy with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ job looking to make it big in a lottery contest. From there things escalate to police chases, robots desiring sentience and maybe a dive into a large body of water with some heavy shoes. It's fun.

Histoire vraiment très sympa à suivre et assez ludique, jeu prenant dans lequel on se laisse porter assez facilement. On peut le finir en une soiree comme le finir sur plusieurs jours petit à petit et chapitre par chapitre

Est-ce que c'est un jeu de pachinko avec une super histoire autour Ou est-ce que c'est un visual novel avec des cool sessions de pachinko dedans? C'est pas clair En tout cas j'ai passé un super moment
