Nice looking game with tight responsive controls. Bought to support the developer, who makes great indepth monitor reviews and other display tech stuff. https://www.youtube.com/@ApertureGrille
The game is as advertised. It's a tad pricey, but not by much. I don't know the guy but the developer also makes good youtube vids go looky https://www.youtube.com/c/aperturegrille
Must-buy for enthusiasts of movement shooters (Quake, Team Fortress 2, Titanfall, etc.)

this game isn't for everyone, but if you like fast paced games (which i do) and i am obsessed with it rn so great job on the game and keep it up
This is a great mix of Quake and Portal, and it has all the fun of collecting things. The movement feels clean, the rockets are explody, and the puzzles are a lot of fun.
Are you an experienced veteran of old-school first-person shooters like Quake? Do you like exploiting the heck out of wonky momentum-based movement systems, running and bouncing and rocket-jumping across a map with little regard for your safety or the laws of physics? Did you ever think to yourself, "shooting people is fun and all, but it would be even more fun if this whole game was about the parkour"? Well, in my case the answer to all of those questions is "no". But if they were "yes", then I might get some fun out of Jump Dash Soar. Jump Dash Soar is basically a playground and an obstacle course built around exploiting the quirks of FPS physics. You've got a rocket launcher, but there are no enemies to shoot, just ramps, switches, spring-pads and geometry to fling yourself into and off of. Be warned, the game expects you to already be an expert at this kind of movement from the get-go. Expect to dash into a slight incline while shooting a rocket at your own feet and sending yourself flying into the stratosphere, and expect to NEED to do that to clear an obstacle. The bugs aren't just a feature here, they're the core of the gameplay! As a person with little to no experience with FPS gameplay, I couldn't even complete the tutorial, let alone nab even one of the countless collectables scattered throughout the map. The presentation of the game is...well, pretty poor. The textures are all placeholders, there's no music, the sound is repetitive and simple and personally I think the tutorial should be broken up into levels to train you to get used to the movement instead of just being one big playground. But hey, it's a free game and the trailer doesn't make it seem like it's something it isn't. If you're an FPS veteran and rocket jumping parkour sounds like it could be up your alley, give it a try. Otherwise, you'll probably want to avoid this one.
Good luck. Large blocks of text are your only tutorialization. Bring knowledge from other games.
