About
Kinetic is a first-person platform game with smooth and responsive movements. It's all about optimizing trajectories, using momentum and portals to complete each level as quickly as possible.
You move through three different environments:
The concrete dimension, with its standard first-person parkour moves.
The ice dimension, which lets you glide at speed, much like you would on a skating rink. This dimension is inspired by Counter Strike's surf mode and Urban Terror's icy mode but is beginners friendly.

The bounce dimension, which lets you bounce on any surface without losing momentum.

Once you've unlocked the dimensions, you'll be free to switch from one to the other whenever you like using the portal.
Each level has its own leaderboard, which stores the best times of all players. It also has a “friends” section so you can compare yourself only with them!

Finally, there is a global leaderboard that groups together all the times for all levels.
In a level, you can see other players trace by checking the box next to any player leaderboard entry.

Build, share and play community maps with the integrated level editor and Steam workshop.

Really tightly designed speed game AND there's ferns growing out of concrete, whats not to love!
As of December 3, 2025 at 4:08pm PST, I am #2 globally on the leaderboard for the first level. Not sure what came over me, I developed a deep desire to be #1, but I'll settle for the first review (jk I see there are now 2 other reviews haha) (gg well played yssam). Kinetic energy is the energy an object possesses due to its motion. It can be calculated using the formula \(KE=\frac{1}{2}mv^{2}\), where (m) is the object's mass and (v) is its velocity. This means kinetic energy is dependent on both mass and speed, increasing as either increases. I doubt I would've come across this game if it wasn't for the Steam personalized calendar. What a treat! Kinetic takes what we know about kinetic energy and makes it a game. A speed running precision platformer that has charm in its level variety and fierce leaderboard. This is a solid showing for a first game! Steam workshop support would be excellent, but unsure how much of a following Kinetic will get (hopefully a strong one, the game is really good). In today's economy $7.99 ($6.95 intro offer) can only get you so far, might as well buy a game that you can get some hours of enjoyment from!
I love this visual aesthetic so much(!!), but the movement is so annoying to me. Turning badly hurts your momentum, so levels end up feeling less like platforming speedruns and more like a billiards trick shot; I have to start hopping at a precise angle so that each wall bounce eventually lands me towards the goal. I get to make 1 gameplay decision at the start of the level, and then I sit there holding down the same movement keys for 15 seconds to see if I got it right. I also found it unintuitive and difficult to build up enough momentum on ice. It was fast, but never fast enough from the way I played.
It's exactly what it says on the tin, a little indie platformer. Recommended for people who already played similar games and want more. The 50+2 levels focus on the core mechanics and gameplay, making them feel polished and fun once you get the hang of it. How your viewing direction and wall jumps affect your movement is a little odd and unusual but intended. The overall learning curve worked for me, and hunting S ranks and achievements while listening to background noise was fun (the gem achievement is broken for me). The dev is active on their discord and still working on the game.
This game delivers on exactly what it promises. Very precise platforming with fun and creative level design. The addition of switching dimensions with portals is implemented seamlessly and adds so much depth to the game.
круто
simple to learn, hard to be master, movement is very precise game have so much potential since there is total time leaderboard, it would be so much fun if there is total time achievement that cover all skill level and harder rank etc... but the community seems pretty closed mind about that, you can still grinding wr for fun though
my kinda jam, delivers on its idea very successfully
I wanted to support the dev because this was made in Godot, and the game is an awesome price. The game feels good and the controls are tight. The visuals are pretty great too. I was able to get through 25 or so level on my Steam Deck and then hit a hard wall. After switching to mouse and keyboard I was able to get a lot further. There are some late game levels where it depends on micron-thick precision with your mouse to get past (I'm looking at you #44) and feel impossible, so I wasn't able to finish. But looking at the scoreboards and achievements a lot of people were! And I think that's great. If you like precision platforming and always beating the next record, this game is an easy one to recommend.
good game but its super buggy i cant even play the game
