Theres a hitbox preventing you from properly grabbing the throttle, and when you do find the one millimeter where you can manage to grab it through the blockade, the throttle 100%s and dissappears. the perfectly spherical flightstick makes it disorienting when you wanna make sure the rudder is straight. which it isnt, and theres a lot of delay inbetween everything you tell the plane to do which no other plane game ive ever played has. and i dont even know what the lever on the right does cause half of the explanatory text was inside my seat. its plain garbage, sorry. i recommend Sopwith instead.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/EqSnvFn4o-s It's free to play, so my expectations were low and this game met my low expectations. It's a simple, arcade flight. I think the best description is that it's a poor man's Ultrawings. It seems this dev was heavily inspired by Ultrawings. Ultrawings is definitely better than this effort so you may want to buy that game on sale. However, if you want a free flying experience, I would say Acro FS is better. Still, this isn't bad either if you want a very simple, relaxing, arcade flying experience with low poly visuals. There is paid DLC, which is just 2 extra planes for .99 cents each. I do recommend the planes as they are better to fly than the free one. However, there is no height adjustment and at least on the Meta Quest 2 using link cable, I was too low on the floor of the DLC planes. There's a couple of activities to do in this game. You can fly through the rings. You can crash into the hot air balloons. You can unlock new landing strips. It's a small map with 29 mini islands on it. I had fun for an hour. I guess that's all you can expect with a free to play title. I was getting steady 90 fps on my RTX 3080. Game is running on the Unity Engine. You do have full locomotion and snap turning in the start menu area, but it's a very small area. Flight controls are very basic. You touch the start button, push up on the throttle, and then just operate with the flight stick. Each of the 3 planes behave differently. Interestingly enough, the free plane controls the worst. i literally cannot pull up or down and cant roll
This gave me a laugh a few times but it got over quickly being annoyed of how the controls are. I understand you guys wanted to make the plane flying real but time after time my plane kept hitting the ground or it wouldn't go the way I wanted it to go. It also got annoying how my position in the plane would not be centered every time I started a mission so every time I would mess up I would go into the settings to reset it every time.
pretty simple vr flight game. I like it
Joy Flight is a free to play VR arcade flying game. It worked on my HTC Vive, Index and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. CONS: Was difficult to fly. Warning: Will cause motion sickness. Maybe try this free VR arcade flying game.
Joy Flight, oyuncuların keşfedeceği, cesur inişlerle pistlerin kilidini açacağı ve büyük bir ada zincirindeki görevleri tamamlayacağı açık dünya arcade VR uçuş oyunudur! Oynaması ücretsiz
"Joy Flight" is a very badly made and badly monetized cash grab, a VR exclusive "arcade flight" game that seems to have been designed to abuse the Steam Marketplace... it's also infested with a nasty mobile app like cash shop. Yeah, a VR game with a cash shop. Disgusting, isn't it? What do you do in the game? If you can get the game to work (it doesn't work with a lot of, you know, VR headsets) you don't do much anyway... it's not a flight sim, and it's definitely not a good attempt at making a game, either. The graphics aren't great... a bunch of mismatched models, low poly junk that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. On pricing, this is only superficially free as the developer has infested this with a nasty cash shop and also expects you to farm/buy community items... basically NFTs, except instead of backed by a blockchain the dev is using the Steam Community Market to sell his NFTs. This is, obviously, cancer. This is pollution... it's harmful to everyone. It hurts genuine indie devs, who have to compete with this pollution to get visibility for their sincerely made games. It makes indie devs look bad. It makes it harder for gamers to find those genuinely made games. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
