Drone Showcase

Drone Showcase is a free Action-Packed, Fast-Paced, Time-Trial Racing game used to feature the dynamic capabilities of our Physics-based drones! It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok by game pad controller. I had to try play it by monitor with keyboard and mouse, found it required plugging in a Xbox game pad. Played good with a game pad, can work with a keyboard. Has no instructions. Has a free DLC with more drone models and skins. Looks like there is only one map to play though. Says it has HTC Vive support, but does not have Vive controller support. Starts from SteamVR Home ok, has a menu to choose your drone model and skin but there is no way to change the menu or start using Vive controller or gaze. Maybe you are supposed to have the VR HMD on while you use the game pad as flight controller. This game will cause Motion Sickness, if you do get it to work in VR. Try this free game for the fun of it, but don't try it in VR for the HTC Vive.

Great start to a high-potential game. I hope the developer keeps updating and improving it going forward. Be careful if you don't have strong VR legs yet.

This was my first time jumping into PCVR for quite a while and I am SO glad this caught my eye. What a blast and loads of potential. Did I really just see that I can expect insect flight in VR? That could be so great. I can't wait to try it! Thank you, Devs. This was an unexpected treat. :)

Really fun game! I like the different types of drones I can use and how I can customize their skins.

I like it! It’s a lot more fun when using an Xbox controller to fly. Also the free DLC gives you the models used in the game which is kinda neat.

As long as you take into account the fact that it is free ‘Drone Showcase’ is a fun little drone timed maze game that sees you taking a handful of drones each with a handful of skins through an obstacle course. There are spinning blades, box towers and even a subway train that at first made me poo my pants! There is certainly nothing amazing here and nothing I would have been happy to pay for, but for a free download you can have a laugh here and try and beat your own time through the course or even that of a friend to eek out the content a little bit more. I give it the thumbs up! (only because it is free after all).
