awesome mini-game for the price
Jogward is an example of why you don't judge a book by the cover. It's a made in Unity game that admittedly looks kind of generic however hidden behind the presentation is a game with fantastic moment to moment action and combat with a variety of weapons and play styles and an upgrade system that really allows every player to create and use a style that suits them There's two different weapon types, melee and ranged. I beat wave 100 with one ranged weapon and one melee weapon so I could share my thoughts about each type but first I wanna talk about the combat. The combat is fast paced, and requires you to know the map and be constantly aware of your surroundings. The different types of enemies all have their own strategies to beating them and it can get extremely chaotic when in later waves, you have 3-4 different enemy types coming at you from all directions. Some enemy types are easier to beat with melee and some are easier to beat with ranged weapons which is good since you really have to adjust your play style depending on which weapon type you are using, and since every weapon in the game has it's own special ability, your play style differs even more from weapon to weapon even in the two categories. Speaking of the two weapon types, this is where my only real "complaint" with the game is, and it's not even much of a complaint and more of a recommendation since ranged weapons are FAR superior to melee weapons for a number of reasons. Most of it comes down to the fact that a lot of the enemies in this game attack with ranged attacks so in later waves, using a melee weapon can be extremely difficult to land hits, on enemies since you're constantly trying to avoid 20+ arrows or grenades at a time, but it's vert doable and can be a great challenge. If the sword weapons made you move slightly faster than the ranged weapons I think it would greatly improve this but it's not the biggest issue and didn't hinder my experience with the game. Performance wise the game never lagged or dropped frames for me, even in the later waves with 50+ enemies on my screen at times which is crucial in a game like this that requires precise movement in order to dodge attacks and get into positions where you can attack. The movement in the game is also simple and fun and the ability to roll over fences is a great addition that adds a lot to the game. Jogward is a game that is rewarding and never too frustrating because of the leveling and upgrade system that allows you to respawn in at earlier waves but keep your upgrades and money so even if you die, you will have made progress which kept me saying "just one more try" as I kept trying to get farther and farther. For $5 you get a game with amazing combat and a great progression system that will leave you coming back for more, and experimenting with different weapons and builds. Twin-stick arena shooter with tight controls and nice gameplay loop. Some weapon variety for melee and ranged. Upgradable skills in between rounds. Pretty brutal on higher waves. Sehr spaßiges Spiel für zwischendurch. Wirklich jeden Cent wert. _________________ Very fun game for in between. Really worth every penny. The only thing I would have to complain about is that it takes way too long to restart after you die. You have to click okay like fifty times and choose weapon and savegame again. Really annoying. A simple restart button would really do the game good.

nice little game
really fun
Simple but fun game. Definitely worth the value. The different weapons offer a decent amount of different gameplay and tactics. Only downside for me, that each playthrough is quite the same for each available weapon due to limited upgrade options. The graphics are not jawdropping, but honestly after first 5 minutes I was only concentrated on killing the waves of baddies and for me, good gameplay is more important.
