In summary - a very realistic jigsaw simulator, but perhaps too realistic for me (hidden pieces, variable lighting, 3D viewing angles etc)... It would be hard to imagine another jigsaw simulator that could get nearer to the feel of the real thing - perhaps only something using VR to enable the user to handle the pieces. In this game the setting is a choice of 3D environments, and the pieces are initially randomly distributed as if emptied from a bag or box - they may be face up or down, on their own or part of a pile, fully visible or behind part of the 3D environment, and oriented correctly or need rotating (using the mouse wheel). The main artifice is the use of a grid on which the pieces are placed, rather than allowing totally free-form assembly. The game comes with a number of built-in jigsaws with attractive and/or challenging images, each of which can be completed with five different levels of complexity (i.e. numbers of pieces). My play time represents assembling 100 jigsaws i.e. all 20 jigsaws which count towards the achievements, each in all 5 sizes; there are other jigsaws included and a DLC apparently allows users' photos to be loaded into the game too. There are some issues - the 3D setting means that some pieces can be fully hidden (there is a "reshuffle" feature to randomly rearrange unplaced pieces), and because a piece is located in 3D space, selecting it may mean moving the mouse cursor around in the general vicinity until the piece glows green rather than aiming exactly for it (this particularly affects pieces which have fallen behind parts of the 3D setting). Also the pieces can be illuminated differently depending on where they fell, which is realistic but frustrating. But the main problem for me is that I do real jigsaws if I want the lovely old-fashioned experience of leaning over a board and handling pieces that may need turning over or rotating, and of searching for edge pieces or common colours/shapes. Conversely, I love computer jigsaws for the variety of images and shapes of pieces, the convenience, and the lack of issues like damaged tabs, dropping pieces on the floor, finding somewhere to place the jigsaw board, etc. I enjoyed playing this game, I recognise the care that has gone into its design and implementation, and I am very happy to recommend it heartily to others, but at this level of realism I personally would prefer to do a jigsaw for real.

I've found a new bug where pieces will randomly not lock in place until I move it around a bit and then slot it in the same place at the same rotation. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394621779 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394621968 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394622683 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394622893 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394623043 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394623187
👍
Very simple game and a very fun one at that, some puzzle's are even challenging!
No solo revueltas y desacomodadas. Regadas.
Cool free game. Pixel hunt for the missing piece.
