Well done. Exactly what it says it is. No limit to items you can put on the table. I tested and broke the physics engine and it continued to allow me to add more despite blocks falling off the table and sitting half inside of each other.. 10/10. Smooth controls. Easy to get a hang of. Chill. Satisfying music and sounds. Aesthetic is very nostalgic. I enjoy this game quite a lot. Maybe not for long term play, but the occasional chill moment or stimmy moment, definitely.
This isn't a game, it's just a software application. "While waiting my turn" lacks the basic mechanics make something a game. Lacking that, this is just an application that provides a simple 3D physics tech demo... you get a number of childrens blocks and no objectives, just put blocks around the place and knock them over. Is this a game? No. Janky physics demos are not in themselves a game. The developer didn't add any proper, formal game loops. To make it clear what a game is and why this isn't one, it boils down to whether the software has any "game loops", which is the interaction between the player and the game itself. Here's an example of a game loop. In Dark Souls, you explore an area, encounter an enemy, fight that enemy and if the computer lets you survive, you repeat that loop with the computer providing you with new enemies. Another example is Candy Crush (while mobile games are awful, they are still games where this isn't), where you rearrange your gems and if you create a match, they're eliminated, you get rewarded, and then the game provides you with more gems to match to repeat the process. There's no loop here, no true interactive game-like feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". Launching software applications in the "Games" category on Steam can be seen as misleading. Many amateur "developers" don't seem to understand the difference between a software app and a game (this should be obvious)! We should at least assume this is ignorance over malice, but it's still a non-game published in the game section. The correct process for publishing non-game software is found here: Steam Developer Help With Software Publishing Because the developer didn't bother doing the right thing, we now have a non-game software app in entirely the wrong place. Publishing non-game software apps on Steam as if they are games is bad for everyone, it's harmful. It robs visibility from legitimate developers who are actually making games, following the right procedures and doing the right thing. It makes it harder for those genuine, ethical developers to find their audience, and it makes it harder for us gamers to find those real games. There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 3 concurrent users... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.
'While waiting my turn' – это скорее интерактивная медитация, размышление о времени, смысле жизни и мимолетных шансах, которые мы рискуем пропустить, погрузившись в рутину. Игра оставляет после себя меланхоличное, но в то же время светлое ощущение, заставляя задуматься о том, как мы проводим своё время.
A really good time. Nothing more to say it was just 30min of my life full of nostalgy and plenitude (and a bit of sweats)
