About
This game focuses on Japanese-style psychological horror and subtle, atmospheric fear.
It is not based on jump scares, action, or chase scenes.
Your task is to observe real-world locations in Japan and report any abnormal phenomena.
Inspired by Japanese urban legends, this experience blends horror with visual attention.
You may find the horror “quiet”—but it lingers in your mind.
If you enjoy subtle, unsettling vibes over gore or action, this game is for you.

Gameplay is just clicking around between various cameras and looking at static images seeing what has changed on them since the last time you viewed it. Going by the trailers I was kind of assuming the "anomalies" would be a lot more obvious but I found myself losing attempts and the summary page was filled entirely with missed reports of "Object Moved" or "Object Manipulated". While playing with with some friends I joked about how the photos were all of messy houses and how I'd probably lose "because one of these dog bowls on the floor will have moved but since the entire place looks like a hoarder house I won't notice it" and honestly that seems to be the actual case. It's really just Five Nights At Freddy's but somehow there's even less to do here. At least when you lose in that game you get an animated jumpscare of some kind, this game the screen just flashes white and tells you you've lost. I like the superstition of "stigmatized properties" as they are in Japan, but this game is just really boring and not very good. There's another game on Steam based on the same folklore that's a lot better and less than half the price.

An anomaly-hunting monitoring game set in Japan. The visuals are taken from real haunted locations, which makes it really creepy and spooky. I almost have to wait for daytime to play it lol. The system is simple and easy to understand, just long-click on anything that looks abnormal. It’s not too hard once you get familiar with each location and start noticing the differences! The anomaly RNG feels fair as well. I encountered new one I hadn't seen before in every run, pretty nice for completing the album. There are four properties in total, which feels just right for the game’s length. Overall, it’s quite enjoyable. I’d definitely love to see more sequels in the future (after JSP2).
