So far, really enjoying it. Good ol fashion fun gaming. The difficulty builds nicely as do the different mechanics. Really enjoyed the first two bosses and i'm just now on the third. Highly recommend, for the price you honestly can't go wrong! The writing is also very funny, Ive had a couple good lols. Did i mention it cost's less than your daily cup of coffee?! BUY IT IDIOT!

I have a LOT more time in this game then 60 minutes lol. I loved this! An absolute piece of art made with blood, sweat, and tears. An obvious labor of love and dedication. The music is awesome. Really ramps up the mood of the fights. The progression is easy enough to understand but hard to master. timing is everything as you'll find out. The art work is fantastic and fun. The controls are smooth, whether on mouse and keyboard or controller (I played through with an xbox controller and it felt great). The dad humor abounds in the interactions between the knight and the lich lol. Overall, a fantastic first from IronRoc.

So where to start with this....I was not sure how i would like this game as I usually don't play platformers but i decided to give it a try. The first and only piece of advice i really have is USE THE BLOCK!!!! :) Other than that i love the campy humor in the dialogue, the art style, the music and the fact that i can turn my son loose on it and watch him suffer!!!! I have yet to beat it but i have been playing it primarily on my steam deck, which i did have to modify one button to work as the TAB button but other than that it runs well on it. Totally recommend it as a game to be able to jump into and play for a few mins here and a few mins there. I also like how your levels are timed so you have a goal to go back and try to beat on your next play-through...and the coins. I have not found all of them so on my second play-though that will be the goal.

It Is A Good Knight To Die is a charming platformer that doesn't take itself too seriously. The gameplay is enjoyable, the dialog is comical, and the level design is generally well done. A couple critiques: The knight feels too heavy. I know it makes sense, as he is wearing heavy armor, but he falls so quickly, and sometimes it is difficult to keep up with him visually as he falls. Second, the difficulty really ramps up during the level with the Gumbo boss. Repeating the wave defense before facing the boss after each failure feels really unforgiving compared to the rest of the game up to that point. Overall, pleased with the game, and the price is a steal.

Most of this game is what you'd expect from reading the steam page. It's a relatively simple and straightforward level-based platformer, of the likes we rarely see these days in favor of sprawling, overcomplicated open world ones. It is a charming little fantasy world. And it is not something that will take six months to complete. But it is also some things you might not expect. It is a surprisingly challenging game, with some bosses and stages delightfully rolling together mechanics from throughout the game while adding new wrinkles that will make you grit your teeth in attempt after attempt. It has a banging soundtrack, which will come in handy as you work your way through a particularly tough sequence. It is also chock-a-block full of dad puns. I never knew I needed to see an undead lich and heroic knight locked in a perpetual snark-off, but now that I have, I'm very glad I have it. It is, in other words, A Good Knight To Die!

The art is cute and the interplay between our hero and villain keeps me wanting to play more. It's surprisingly difficult though, both the platforming and the fighting, that said i never felt like it was the game's fault and always like i was doing something wrong. Pick it up if you want a light-hearted adventure and a challenge!

Fun, challenging, and dad wit galore. It reminds me of old cartridge console play, where a game wasn't tens or hundreds of hours to complete. The coins for rewarding exploration were a nice touch as well.

Feels like a classic game, even having to explore the map to find hidden items. Simple yet very fun game.

A great platformer and very challenging. Also very addictive! It's a bargain at this price!
