Island Getaway - DEMO

i mean it was ok...but not really scary but i did turn it down but further in the game i relized its trash but a little bit fun

While this is not a ripoff like how some of the reviews are putting it, this game makes me wonder did the dev even playtest this game with other people? The game is roughly 13 minutes long and the 10 of those minutes are spent in the beginning where you're rowing your boat to the titular Island Getaway, with the 3 minutes left showing some half baked Light House, A24 imagery followed by a kid killing me with my only means of attack being limply throwing my briefcase at them. I can see a lot of potential here, a horror game with pixelated gloomy watercolor look could be something really interesting and lends itself well to either a darkly comedic game like Bucket Detective or incredibly dark experience like Mouthwashing or Lost in Vivo. However, as it stands, it's just babies first attempt at a traditional horror game made by someone who's only previous game was a Garfield themed horror experience on itch.io.
