Isabella: Chasing Shadows

Yes. The art is good or at least acceptable, but the animations are weak. They are abrupt and brief - changing or happening unexpectedly and not lasting long. That being said, I enjoy the story. The plot moves very quickly but you don't notice it so much because each scene feels meaningful. Even the flashbacks are accompanied by good narration and visual aids, which makes it helpful. Nothing worse than reading a 10 minute convo that spans only 3 images. Show, don't tell. The story is kind of predictable, but that doesn't lessen it. There's still some stuff I'm not sure about or probably won't see coming, but regardless, the story is so well told that any predictability isn't too irksome. The characters are deep, unique, and interesting, and the relationships grow in substantive ways. One "gripe," but it's one I have with several titles in the AVN genre. I put it in spoilers because it is one - so, you know, this block of text might not be useful to you, but this review is for me and lets me exercise one of the few consumerist privileges I have in a globalized shareholder economy where every company other than small indie developers leaves me feeling alienated as an economic agent. [spoiler] I tend to dislike when AVNs place the protagonist in a relationship at the outset. It's ok if I choose, as a player, to enter into a relationship; but pre-existing relationships create conditions that reduce player agency and punish the player for actually exploring the adult content (which is a pretty big part of any AVN). Now, in this game's case, you're in a 'friend's with benefits' situation, but it's clear the character is developing feelings. Meaning when the 'talk' happens, you may as well be breaking up with her. It would be different if the main plot was exploring the idea of adultery - then I might be more ok with it. But that isn't the case here. [/spoiler] Overall, good though. I certainly don't regret buying at full price.

First off, it's not a porn game, so don't expect it to be. It's more like a detective story with an adult MC, who's not a yesterday's post-grad. So if you're looking for some fap material only, please look elsewhere. It's all about the story with occasional sex scenes, most of which are optional. The dev pays a lot of attention to details and I encountered animations where I hadn't expected to see them. Pictures and animations are high-quality with background people actually moving and minding their own business, which must've taken a lot of time to make. The dev's really active on the discord channel, so any typos or misrenders can be reported there and you can be sure things are going to be fixed soon enough, or you can just engage him in a conversation if you want. So, good story with some branching already, good visuals, an active dev who welcomes feedback, and a lot more to come as the game receives updates.

Bonjour à tous, Ce jeu aurait pu être bien si le développeur faisait son travail, c'est à dire développait le jeu mais depuis le 26 novembre 2024 plus aucune mise à jour n'a été faite sur ce jeu! Alors attention avant de l'acheter... This game could have been good if the developer had done their job, that is, developed the game, but since November 26, 2024, no updates have been made to this game! So be careful before buying it...

I wasn't expecting the game to have as much animation in it as it does, it is done very well and helps to immerse you deeper into the story! As for the story, there are so many layers to it, but doesn't lose sight of it's goal... while like a game of this nature there are women that you can impress yourself upon, select and spend wonderful nights with, but the emotional depths to each of the characters make this game a real GEM and you'll find yourself caring about the characters you are developing a relationship with. It is very clear that the author cares not just about the story, but about the characters as well and wants to share those characters through all of their backstories and special moments that they share with you... and it is quite clear that those emotions that you develop for these characters pulls you deeper into the larger storyline for which this game presents... there are some things in this that you are going to have to deal with to stop the antagonist(s) and the author gives you the tools in believable ways to try and stop their plan. Definitely got more out of this game than I had been expecting and definitely recommend this to anyone reading this, it is masterfully done so far!! Great work!!

Dieses Spiel befindet sich derzeit, in der Entwicklung noch. Und was kann dieses Spiel einem Spieler bereits dennoch bieten? Hier jetzt mehr dazu. Also dieses Spiel, bietet eine "ziemlich gute Story mit sehr guter Grafik". Von der Story her, kann ich nur sagen, dass diese einen Spieler absolut nicht Enttäuscht. Man kann eigentlich eher hier nur sagen, das diese einen Spieler sogar sehr Positiv, einmal mehr überrascht. Im äußerst Positiven Sinne, des Entwicklers. Top! Die Spieldauer bei mir, war im Moment bei 4 Stunden. Die Dialoge und Szenen im Spiel, wurden sehr gut umgesetzt. Eines was zwar hier auch Positiv ist, das es etwas mehr unterschiedliche Sprachen mit dabei hat, im Spiel bereits. Und vielleicht könnten noch weitere Sprachen hinzu gefügt werden, vom Entwickler Team. Auch der Humor usw., wurde sehr gut umgesetzt, sowie mit integriert. Vom weiteren kann ich soviel sagen, dass ich immer noch sehr Positiv überrascht bin, von der Story. Mit all seinen Handlungen die es bisher gab. Das mir beinahe diese Worte etwas fehlen. Das dass bisherige Spiel ziemlich bis eigentlich sehr gut umgesetzt wurde bereits, vom Entwickler. Darum jetzt für euch hier, kann ich dieses Spiel weiter empfehlen? Excellent graphics, facial expressions are impressive and a good story line but it shares one vice with all VNs it leaves you on a cliffhanger. Is some girl/girl activity coming or a threesom and what the hell is in that container? I guess we just have to wait for the next episode to drop recommended
