At first, I thought it was just a regular horror game, but when I saw the variety of weapons the protagonist had, I changed my mind.
You’re unlikely to come across a horror FPS quite like this: within its first hour, you’ll battle bizarre monsters, endure some outlandishly cheap jump scares, and, if you’re lucky, get lectured about communism by a bird creature. It’s a unique combination only possible via pure indie ambition—perhaps more ambition than experience, though. Let’s get the major stumbling blocks out front. The game’s menus and most text are locked to Russian, with in-game dialogue in English, which leaves non-Russian speakers fumbling in the dark. There are no options to change the language. Almost all voices are clearly AI-generated, and the results are inconsistent and occasionally broken (at least one female character inexplicably shifts to a male voice for a line). The writing is, at times, overly verbose and just as clearly machine-written. Subtitles rarely match what you’re hearing. The introduction can set you up for failure—enemies might swarm your bike before you can pick up a weapon, which forces a death you can’t skip or easily recover from. If you do push past these rough edges, you’ll find that enemy AI doesn’t follow normal rules: monsters never stop chasing you, even phasing through buildings and fences. Once armed, you’ll discover heavy balancing issues—every enemy takes two shots, regardless of type, and firing your weapon seems to summon the entire map’s enemy population. Some parts of the world are just bizarre in scale, making navigation even stranger (spot the triple-sized beds). Despite this, there’s a beating heart beneath the jank. The developer has carved out a surprisingly large, open map with side quests, secrets, and a storyline you slowly unravel. For the price—more of a dollar impulse buy than a full-fledged release—there’s genuine curiosity and effort behind the worldbuilding. With about 2 hours of play you might only be scratching the surface, and you may catch glimpses of the potential the developer is trying to realize. Those positives are almost paradoxical, though: there’s passion here, but every step is tripped up by technical issues, lack of polish, and an overreliance on AI-generated everything—from text and icons to voices and artwork. The environments, story, and that bird philosopher all suggest there was more in mind than just another disposable horror release. Right now, it’s difficult to recommend outright, even at a rock-bottom price, unless you’re a fan of so-bad-it’s-good indie projects or want to experience one of the more surreal budget horror games on Steam. If the developer addresses the language barrier, AI abuse, and general playability, this could actually be a hidden gem. As it stands, you’re buying a wild experiment—often broken, sometimes fascinating, and absolutely rough around every edge. Proceed only if you know exactly what you’re in for.
To start with, I'm a little on the fence with this one. It's alright. It's not the worst thing I've played, but it certainly isn't the best. Some of the text could do with a little work (I found some things that were poorly translated to English, but it didn't hinder gameplay much), and some of the animations / mechanics could also do with some work. First off, here's what I don't like: 1. The AI voices are really badly done if I'm honest, and sometimes they whisper for no apparent reason (Like... why does the main character have to whisper when only him and the sheriff are there?) 2. The animations don't stop when you kill something. I shot a zombie 4 times before I realized it was actually dead because it didn't stop moving. 3. There are these random bird characters that you happen to stumble across that don't seem to add anything to the story. Instead, they're only really used as a quick way of getting more ammo (You prompt them for it, and they just give it to you. Why not use a vending machine? Why a creepy bird that looks like an enemy?) HOWEVER, these are the things I did like: 1. Functional menu system. This should be a no-brainer, but other games don't seem to have functional menus (Or any menu at all, occasionally). 2. Functional save system. Again, a no-brainer but love that it's there and actually works. 3. A quest / map menu. Love that I can see where everything is on the map without having to manually scope it out myself. It doesn't point where my objective is, but beggars can't be choosers. That's pretty much it. Will I recommend this game? I wish there was an option for being on the fence, but unfortunately there isn't. For the sake of improvement, I'm not going to recommend it. I enjoyed my short play-through of it, sure, but there are a lot of issues that need to be fixed before I'd call it a fully-fledged game.
