Easy mode is a chill challenge,
now whit four players
timed levels, have to pick up crap (in succession) to level up, but you cannot take time to organize. Plus, enemies that you cannot shoot (because they fly) makes it rather unpleasant.

I have played this over 50 hours on another account. As far as twin-stick shooters and arcade-style games go, Iron Crypticle is one of the best on Steam. With all the enemy types, weapons, secrets, and room variations, it has a ton of content. I also love how the scoring system rewards you for picking up items in quick succession, forcing you to play quickly and aggressively. Iron Crypticle is easily my favorite twin-stick shooter. The older version (Iron Fisticle) included some meta-progression elements like permanent power-ups, but I think this version is much better without those things.
If your a fan of retro graphics, scanlines, and unique charm like old games provide - this one is a big sleeper. I only found out about it from a twitter post - I bought it full price 10$ and idc - its that special. I love this, and I wish more retro games had this level of character and uniqueness - One of my favorite purchases out there, better than jet set knights and other retros Im huge fans of -
A fun game. Harder than Fisticle because the + mode means you have to complete 6 stages (not four like in Fisticle), and they get a lot harder! I finally completed it today with one health bar left, so it was close. Good fun, though I suspect multiplayer with continues is a lot easier than single player like I had to do. Fisticle has upgrades that persist between games, but Crypticle is all or nothing - when you die, everything is reset. There are pros and cons to both approaches. I played on Linux Mint Cinnamon and it ran perfectly. The only quirk was that when I load the game, the first splash screen freezes - pressing the left mouse button lets it continue loading as normal (no other keys or gamepad buttons seemed to work, only the LMB). But otherwise it plays like a dream. Reminds me of an updated version of one of my first games, Berzerk (Atari 2600) crossed with Bubble Bobble's bonuses.
IF you like Smash TV. This is the next best thing !
