Invisible Apartment does a good job to set up it’s sequels and prequel as I want to see where things go and more about Bunny’s past but as for the here and now it doesn’t really do much. Not much is told about the city itself or why why she believes it to be corrupt. Not much is told about the world or other characters you meet. Things are rushed through a bit just to set up other games. I also don’t like how there are some faux choices in the game where you get three options but two of them result in game over. I find this mechanic to be lazy and a poor substitute for proper story branching. If you want to make a kinetic novel then do so but if you want to include choices then make actual choices and branches. The art and music were well done. I played Invisible Apartment on Linux. It never crashed and I didn’t notice any spelling errors. One thing I disliked was that there are no options at all. No options to control volume or text speed or anything else that is standard on visual novels. You can save whenever you want and there are six save slots. Alt-Tab didn’t work. If I were the developer I would ditch whatever engine they are using and adopt something like Ren’Py. Disk Space Used: 144 MB GPU Usage: 3-6 % VRAM Usage: 498-511 MB CPU Usage: 2-8 % RAM Usage: 2.6-2.8 GB The sequels and prequel may be good games based on the world and characters that were teased here but I can’t recommend this game because it is lacking on depth; on standard options; and on mechanics. It isn’t a bad game but I also can’t call it a good game and there are lots of visual novels out there I can recommend more even at the price tag of free. I finished Invisible Apartment in twenty one minutes.
Slightly interesting, but overall forgettable story. Very few choices which lead to a quick game over if picked poorly. Quicksave and quickload did not seem to work. Had to remember to go into menu and manually save and load occasionally. Not enough to interest me in the prequel or sequels.
Another good VN - Cyberpunk theme'd. Was an interesting story.
So, I played through IA 0,1,2 and 3. Gotta be frank. Artwork is inconsistent in quality but not terrible, I'd give it a C+. The story itself is extremely dumb, to be frank. IA 1 was a fun and mysterious little standalone. IA 2 was nice, a bit deeper and more introspective. But IA 0 and IA 3 are pretty terrible. Kasey isn't that well fleshed out, neither is Joel or even Mask. Mask constantly remains a flat and boring character. IA 3 brings everything to a disappointing conclusion that can most kindly be described as workplace politics. It's all this entire saga comes down to at the end, which just cheapens the entire journey.
Modern bir dünyada mücadele eden bir kız hacker'ı konu alan Cyberpunk Görsel Romanı. Hikaye gözetleme, hackleme, yapay zeka, sibernetik implantlar ve yüksek teknoloji toplumunda normal bir yaşam sürmek isteyenler etrafında dönüyor.
Invisible Apartment is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This garbage high school sci-fi club dropout fan-fiction once more features the authors most favourite topic, his imaginary girlfriend who is a super cyberpunk hacker, but you wouldn't know her, she goes to another school in Canada. Sheer cringe aside, this badly written fan-fiction isn't even free, despite being marketed as such, because it's just the first part, and you have to pay out $14 to buy the rest of the cringe. Imagine charging money for high school fan-fiction cringe. This kind of thing is why indie devs on Steam have such a bad name. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you wanted to read the next sentence, instead of just turning the pages. You'd think it was garbage. Now imagine that experience, but with much worse writing (because if these guys could write professionally, they'd be published authors and this would be on shelves in bookstores, and they wouldn't have to pay Valve $100 to self-publish this on Steam), and you have your average Steam e-book. One of the chief problems with failed authors polluting Steam with non-game E-books is that E-books can easily just be presented in a web browser... there's no justification for charging money on Steam for what might as well be a webpage. We don't spend thousands on buying a gaming rig to spend money on Steam for something Chrome or Firefox could do. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the e-book peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent readers, and now there's basically nobody reading it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. While this E-book is "free", you can get better quality, professionally written books and comics for free online (from places like Project Gutenberg) or from public libraries. Steam isn't a comic book store, neither is it Netflix, it's for games. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. It's impossible for me to recommend things to PC gamers that aren't really games. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this e-book with a grain of salt.
Invisible Apartment is a Visual Novel with just a few choices. Despite the choices, it definitely is a short game and you should not expect a long journey. However that isn’t really a problem. The whole story takes place in a cyberpunk future, which is presented in a decent manner. Same can be said about the artwork presenting the world and characters and of course the story itself. The story focuses on a world, which is regulated by government. Government sees and hears everything. Rather typical thing when it comes to cyberpunk worlds. And in this world there is a person that doesn’t exactly fit in, the main character – Kacey. Who is a hacker. And as you might expect this is not the safest thing to do in this world. Overall it’s a neat little Visual Novel you can play for free and I totally can recommend doing so. Also covered it on my YouTube channel a few years ago. To be honest though, the version I covered there I found on not existing anymore Desura, so it might vary a little compared to what's here on Steam. The videos covering the game you can find on Invisible Apartment playlist that’s on my YouTube channel.
