What a gem, especially for only a dollar. Inventory Manager is super fun. You run a shop, and you try to keep up expanding your supply and inventory while not pissing off too many orcs. You start with a tiny shop inventory, and you hire an adventurer to go out and get stuff for you. Different adventurers will bring you different items. So an alchemist brings you consumables, chefs bring food, smiths bring weapons, and so on. You take the stuff from the adventurers, and find inventory space in your shop for it. As shoppers pass by at the top of the screen, you drag and drop items to match what the shoppers want. The shoppers give you money, you clear inventory space, and you keep going. You can sort your inventory storage by rarity or by item type, or a bit of both. You need to balance buying more inventory spaces and hiring more adventurers to keep your shop growing. The fun really comes in when all of your adventurers come back at once and you are short on inventory space. Adventurers won't wait forever for you to take their items, and they get impatient. If you take too long they just throw their item into a random inventory space that will take the item. The item will break, and it will still take up inventory space until you trash the broken item. This can quickly cascade out of control and an adventure will chuck an item into a spot you wanted, causing you delay, and then all of your other adventurers get mad at you for taking too long, and then you have an inventory full of trash. The good news is that even if you make a ton of mistakes and miss all kinds of stuff, there is really no harm done. You can come back from any mistakes or bad days, and it doesn't matter. Just keep doing your best, having fun, and it all works out. You can also buy some automation items that will do some of the work for you, and if you get the hang of these things, it can make your shop more productive. I think this game would have been a fair deal at $5, but at $1 it's a steal. This is just a fun way to pass some time, and it's well done.
Honestly, really really really good game. For a price point of 1usd (ish) a real gem. Honestly probably would have paid 5usd for it. I played for over 2 hours straight and it felt like any time passed at all. (at time of writing this game is roughly 1 us Dollar)
it's very disappointing how bad this game is. The idea is great but implementation is poor. First of all, the game design is too shallow. You see all the content from the start. No real progression. It doesn't motivates you to grind manually to get automation things earlier (money is earned easily), no real need to use all that filters to optimise your setup. The only viable option is to sell high power armor or weapon of any rarity to merchant to get extra money. But there is no filters for power and you don't really need that extra money since there is nothing new to expect from the gameplay. I also naturally expected to be able to merge the same items to get an upgraded one with better stats. But this wouldn't help the game anyway. Second, the UI is eye-killing. I could live with the text being to small in some place, but the wooden background where you objects is irritating as hell. It's a challenge to see things on it. I wanted to be wrong with my impression. I know that developing a game is not an easy thing. But it is what it is. The only positive thing is how the orcs are drawn. At least, i don't feel money-grabbed since the game is almost free. Technically it's pretty good for an indie project. The core problem is the game design. Hope the developer would learn from this project to make better games in future.
The game is OK at the best. I personally find issues with the UI. You just can't see anything once you buy many stuff. You can not sell anything to make that cleaner. It could use a grid based placement system.
The game is alright. You will probably get about 2 hours of fun out of this one. Once you figure out a system that works for you and automate it, it just becomes a matter of scaling up. What I feel the game lacks to play it for more than 2 hours is a general sense of progression that you have in other idle games. (think about rebirth mechanics, multipliers, new encounters) It is just a matter of scaling up and seeing your coins increase. There is nothing really new to look forward to. There are a bunch of new items your adventurers can bring back, but those upgrades didn't really feel impactful as it will just be picked up by your sorters and distributed like usual. A big thing that made me kinda stop playing is that adventurer shop became a chore to sort through. It gets filled up with a long list really fast and finding desirable adventurers (ones that have a low % on poor/common gear) just felt boring after 1-2 hours. Though it did feel good at the start when I picked up my first few adventurers. I did not really feel attached to my adventurers anymore once I had like 10+ of them. It did feel great once I had everything automated, though with the sorting system I used, the specific type inventories were obsolete. (I only used the rarity ones, then straight to shop) If it was more expensive I wouldn't recommend it. But can't really complain because of its price as you will get about 2 hours out of it.
I'm really rather sad that I can not commend this game, but it's gotten unplayable rather fast. I spent about 11 or so hours on my first sitting, then I closed the game and I restartded. My boxes are there, but I have 0 gold, 0 reputation and 0 adventurers. The majority of my machines has also disappeared. And the shop for bags is empty, can not buy any new bag if I wanted to now. So I'm not gaining any items, don't have anyone to sell items to and own no gold to buy adventurers. If you're down to paly ur idle game in one sitting okay, I guess, but... I mean... [This is with babysitting setting turned on as recommended by the way.] Now after replaying all the progress the achievemnt doesn't unlock anyway. 5300 out of 5000 reputation doesn't seem to be enough. Pointless to have a bar if it's not accurate / used for anything.
Quite simple and confusing for the first hour but can give a few hours of content for such a low price.
I bought the game for .49 here on steam. It is absolutely worth that price and honestly worth the normal $1 it goes for. The game is easy enough and lets you simply reset if you mess up. though there is no multi save slot option The interface is basic but polished. The game play doesn't lag and after playing for about 1-2 hours it was still smooth. Now the game has some basic quality of life things that could do with smoothing out. - One of the "power ups" doesn't seem to let you actually use it to it's most potential and causes inventory to flow the wrong direction with no way to revers the flow. This in fact goes for all "power ups" but is most obvious with this one. - If you buy something you didn't mean to you can't delete, it only move it to the side and keep going. - There is no option to pause and look at your shop and evaluate what you need to adjust you have to go into a screen filling menu to pause. - The day/night cycle slants heavily to day so you can't use that down time to plan. - Some of the shop items and "power ups" can be locked down but others not leading to frequent miss grabbing. - Some of the weapons can't fin in any of the sub inventory space and must be sold right to a patron or tossed out. At the faster speeds I just have to toss them as the main inventory needs to stay open. Again what I have said about does not take away from the game play but does introduce unneeded elements of frustration. For the cheep price though I honestly can't really complain. It is a fun hour or two at a time and if some of these things got addressed it could be really a very good game.
ATTENTION !!! DANGER !!!! DANGER !!!!! DANGER !!!!!! starting this piece of s*** of game CAUSES EVERY OTHER PROGRAM/SOFTWARE/APP TO NOT ACCEPT ANY MOUSE INPUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
