Invaders is a very primitive Tower Defense game (if you can call it a game) with crude graphic effects. There is no such thing as music or sound effect here at all. As a TD game, it offers the one and only ferocious enemy in the universe, a small white cube (I don't know when the large white cube in the store page screenshot will come out and I don't want to know at all). The first two waves differs from each other in terms of the number of enemies spawned each time, but after the third wave, even their number becomes constant (at least until wave 9, where I gave up). In addition, you can't fast forward or call the next wave earlier, and you have to wait for the system to finish its countdown. So don't waste your time on this "game“.

simple game from what looks like a new developer. nice to try out, but needs to fix balancing and graphical issues

Invaders is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from in . While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is a barebones tech demo of a tower defense that looks like the result of halfway following some tutorials then bolting off to Steam Direct with $100 clenched in hand. Does this have any serious value as a game for gamers? No... it does not. So the most important lesson for every developer has not been learned... it's not about you. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Before I played Invaders, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
This is very proof-of-concept-y. There isn't much game here and that's all there is to it. As the game's description tells, this was made by a highschool student and for experimenting with Unity, I get what this "game" is trying to achieve but for anyone that is not the dev, Invaders isn't worth their time. If the dev decides to make this into a game, I would give it another shot because the basic concept isn't bad. However, here's a list of neat features you can find here: - No audio - a buggy UI (UI elements aren't relative to the player camera but the world, so buttons behind you are mirrored for instance) - faulty game logic (the "wave completed" screen is just relative to time passed, not how many enemies you kill) So if you're the dev: experiment more, maybe do some game jams If you're not the dev: just don't bother with this at the moment.
